Reviews for Toasties show a mix of praise and concerns. Many note fresh ingredients, great taste, and fast service, with several calling it the best sub spot in Montreal or a West Island favorite. Others mention a strong meat smell or quality issues and a negative phone interaction that leaves some questioning the kitchen atmosphere. Some also highlight good value with daily specials and the convenient location, while the shop is small and parking can be challenging. Overall, Toasties is seen as a reliable, flavorful quick option that many residents seek out, despite a few caveats about consistency and ambiance.
Just placed an order & called in to let them know that 2 of the sandwiches we ordered were bad quality. That the meat seems rotten. Then I hear the girl on the phone laughing & saying to someone in the background'should I just hang up on her'
When you spend your money at a restaurant its because you want to have some peace for the night & not deal with cooking, nobody is forced to eat at your restaurant & there are many sandwich shops in the west Island to choose from.
After speaking to the manager he told me yes the meat does have a strong smell & its normal, but I tried eating it & it really tastes bad.. It has a strong smell & a strong taste that lingers. Only giving 2 stars because the other sandwich that we ordered is good, but won't come back for even those because with the type of attitude of'should I just hang up on her' I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen.
Tout est bien, sans être exceptionnel, bon pour le quartier, mais ne vaut pas la peine de se déplacer depuis l'autre côté de Montréal. J'y retournerais si je passe dans le quartier.
The sandwich are amazing, this is the best spot forget about Subway & other big brand, the services is great & fast, the price is high but you pay for quality , time & great taste, down point its small but ehought for what they do, the parking is à mess & too small for all the restaurant that are there
