Dans l'ensemble, The Famous Cosmos est perçu comme un bistrot diner authentique, à l'ambiance conviviale et chaleureuse. The'creation sandwich' was delicious, & the potatoes were equally tasty. The staff was very kind, & I spent about two hours there. It felt very homey. I would definitely go back for the food!
It's a small venue, so you need to order inside. There's no table service. In a sense, it felt very Japanese because there were very limited seating options. Outdoor seating was right beside trash, which wasn't very pleasant.

Thanks to travel vlogs on YouTube we found this place. Went a year ago when visiting & it was the best breakfast we had that trip & the second visit a year later did not disappoint.
Had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes for a seat at the small counter, but once seated the food came quickly.
Well prepared & old school cool.
I came here when I was in university.
Back then it was $10 for the Mish Mash, with the'Man of Grease' at the helm.
Today, the restaurant looks the same but the owner is different.
The food is still excellent (even though the Mist Mash is separated into its component omelette & potatoes. With some fork work, it can be mixed back into essentially the old Mist Mash form.)
Cosmos is a staple of NDG & the food is excellent. We'll always go back.
Travel back in time , old vide with fresh & tasty breakfast, big choice of breads, homestyle cooking, passed so many times by that place, now I regret not been in before, will go back for sure
Went there this morning on a whim, but truthfully I've been going to Cosmo's for years. 15 years ago, after exams at school nearby this was a spot where I would go for some comfort food. The food today is as great as ever! The classic dishes are the Creation & the Mish Mash (pic related) & those are what I would recommend for first-timers. The place has also undergone a bit of an overhaul. They now accept card, not just cash, & are available on Uber Eats. They also have merch for sale in-store! The vibe is always on point. Everyone there is very friendly & that naturally generates conversation. Overall if you make the pilgrimage to this NDG institution, you'll never be disappointed.
A "real" place, with real people, in a way that has somehow went out of atyle with chain restaurants, but never should have. They don't make'em like this anymore & they are a rare find; a real authentic diner where the staff works their posterior off for you, & you can see it, right in front of you, in a floor, thats worn thin of year upon years of sucessfull service. Best breakfast experience i've had so far in this city.
