Afficher toutbreakfast(27) mash(7) vibe(6) coffee(6) sandwich(6) price(6) greasy(5) spoon(5) counter(5) mish(5) potatoes(5) creation(5)One of the unique breakfast spots my boyfriend took me to in NDG! What sets it apart is the interactive experience; we sat around the counter & heard the chef cook up a storm right in front of us. The sizzling sounds were amazing! The food was delicious, & I loved the bacon! Crispy perfection! I highly recommend this restaurant!
I was in Montreal back in November for a Paul McCartney concert, & a good friend of mine back home (who is Montreal-born & raised) told me that I should absolutely have breakfast here at some point during my week-long visit. He had recommended having the Mish Mash, so that's what I ordered.... It was so good! 🥰
The coffee I also had was top notch, & chatting with the staff & the others seated at the counter gave Cosmos a kind of small-town blast from the past feeling & ambiance.
I will definitely return here whenever I visit Montreal again! 🙂
The best breakfast sandwich in town!!! Very affordable. Shoutout to Tony for making the best sandwiches & best potaoes. The service is top
Best diner around. Great vibes, delicious breakfast, & they don't hold back on calories 😜.
Thanks to travel vlogs on YouTube we found this place. Went a year ago when visiting & it was the best breakfast we had that trip & the second visit a year later did not disappoint.
Had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes for a seat at the small counter, but once seated the food came quickly.
Well prepared & old school cool.
Best breakfast in town ! I never left a google review in my life but this one was worth it. Best people !
Amazing breakfast!! My omelette was amazing, as well as the toast & home fries. Just full of flavour. Will go again when I'm back in Montreal 100%
Travel back in time , old vide with fresh & tasty breakfast, big choice of breads, homestyle cooking, passed so many times by that place, now I regret not been in before, will go back for sure
Simple, no frills, no bullshit all day breakfast. Nice portions, great tasting & friendly staff.
A "real" place, with real people, in a way that has somehow went out of atyle with chain restaurants, but never should have. They don't make'em like this anymore & they are a rare find; a real authentic diner where the staff works their posterior off for you, & you can see it, right in front of you, in a floor, thats worn thin of year upon years of sucessfull service. Best breakfast experience i've had so far in this city.
A great diner vibe. Not overpriced. Staff very friendly. Accommodating for English speakers haha! It was great. Reminded me of eating breakfast at my grandparents cabin.
Great diner experience. Great breakfast & amazing burgers. Service was phenomenal. Thnx Mark for the great hospitality & service. For sure will return.
Great food, great customer service, classic Montreal breakfast spot. its tiny so get ready to sometimes interact with other customers & the staff! Would give more stars if they were available.
This is a little hole on the wall greasy spoon when you need to recover from a hangover or just need that comfort breakfast. The creation sandwich is a must, the mishmash plate is exactly what it sounds like & is awesome! There is new ownership but this place hasn't changed at all, this is an NDG secret, you gotta try it.
The famous Cosmo's, been around longer than I have. The decor could use some help but the ambiance & food is still very good & better priced than most of the other breakfast places! The cook was pleasant to talk with & made the breakfast very enjoyable. Dinner seating only.
This reminds of what Montreal is all about. Cozy, great vibes. Breakfast prices are like the good old days. You feel at home here. I really enjoyed my breakfast with the sunnyside up eggs in the bagel.
I ate at Cosmos almost every day for years during the late 90s. I gradually went less & less often over the years around the same time that Tony was working his way into retirement. When Tony died, I stopped going. When I heard someone had bought the place, I had mixed feelings. Could new people really keep the place that I knew so well alive? I'm very happy to say that they did. The woman at the grill (Tony's spot) would have made Tony proud. I ordered my usual & it was just as I remembered (though maybe a bit smaller portions as I used to benefit from regular privileges like a free 3rd egg). In any case, lovely experience. Same neighbourhood vide. Same great breakfast, & the famous potatoes, just as good (though missing the ash from Tony's cigarettes). I'll be back soon for another taste of the good ol' days!
