The Coldroom provides a great speakeasy experience! Drinks were delicious & quite complex tasting. We had the following drinks: Rice to Meet You, The Musket & The Cold fashion. The mixiologists were great & very friendly! My partner also got a hoodie to remember the experience! I highly recommend you to go, ring the bell & wait a bit! It'll be worth your while!

Keep your eyes open for the duck above the door outside, ring the door bell & you're suddenly transported to a prohibition era speakeasy. The cocktail list & whiskey selection are intricate & well crafted. Whether at the bar counter or at a table, the service is always fantastic & we always have a good time with the staff.
There is usually a wait list especially on weekends but that's to be expected. It also gets pretty warm down in the basement during the summer which could be uncomfortable for some.
Make sure to try the severely underated grilled cheese with bourbon butter!
Overall this is my favourite bar to recommend to friends & tourists. It's one of the best bars in Montreal, you won't be disappointed!

Classic speakeasy.
Reasonably priced drinks & amazing service.
Perfect vibe. Music wasn't too loud & you could carry a conversation even with it being about 50% full.
Drinks are subjective but their take on the old fashion was a chef's kiss

Ordered Joe Peachi, shotgun wedding which was really good. Espresso Martini was terrible & so was the service . The server gave us an attitude since the moment we sat down & kept waiting for us to finish our drink faster & leave the table. By the end, her behaviour went worse. Recommended for drinks or dates but service is poor.

Cool place, great service & drinks. I was with a bachelor party that probably shouldn't have been there but they took care of us anyways. Definitely suggest a visit!

J'aime trop l'ambiance, pas trop bruyant comme certains bars, la lumière est parfaite aussi. Trop bien de choisir ce bar si tu veux y aller pour un date ou avec des amis!! Mais on n'a pas trop aimé les trois verres qu'on a commandé, rice to meet you est un peu trop sucré, joe peachi n'est pas du tout creamy comme décrit, dans l'ombre est un peu spécial avec le goût de café en arrière.
