The first time trying south indian food in Montreal, & it won't be my last time.what an amazing dosa they have. I had the masala Chess dosa, I loved it.
A must visit for any occasion. The food quality has remained the same even after all this time. The dosas & idlis are amazing. My little kids get excited whenever we have to go for a meal.
We went to this restaurant via enroute to USA exceptional service . During closing time we asked for idlis & they made fresh ones for us .There ambur biryanis are the best . Thanks for your service to all staff members

Awesome food...Friendly customer service...even quantity of the food was quiet enough..most appreciated thing is their washroom was super clean..kudos for that.. authentic tamilnadu taste ...thanks for ur excellent service
Sathish is one of the best restaurant hosts in the city. I've always had excellent service here. As a Tamilian from Mumbai, Thanjai feels like a home away from home. & the food is flavourful, subtle, & is not an assault on the senses like most other Indian restaurants in the city. Food that feeds the soul anyways. Update: They also sell the best idli batter here. I have never made idlis before but it was incredibly easy with their batter (photos attached)

Amazing food ,taste & quantity is greatest! Best authentic South Indian food if you would like to try them . Mutton briyani & egg kothu was ultimate... The epic is the Thanjai periya kovil statue in entrance is spellbound.
An all 5 star might seem exaggerated for some but this extraordinary restaurant deserves it for its quality, genuineness, authenticity of its cuisine & the lovely staff make it a near unique experience.
