I was dissapointed with the lunch thali special - first of all it is 20$ that is a bit pricey, second it was like I was disturbing them by being present because it took 20 minutes to have some water brought out & take my order it does not come with naan - & the green vegetables had a very strange seaweed / fishy taste (this was honestly gross & I have a strong stomach , totally inedible)- the mushrooms were cold & the soup I assume was soup just wasted like lemon water. Not impressed with my meal at all .
I am sorry I was really frustrated that's why I give this review,, if you donot know how to manage a restaurant then don't ruin someone's day after 15hrs of work I came to your place hoping to get a good dinner but that didn't happen. You made us to wait for 20 mins no water no one came to take order. You are in Canada & here we expect good customer service. You may be busy but no excuses. I hope you will Learn from your mistakes to better serve the future guests.

Très bon! La soupe Dal (lentilles , curry & poivre ) est merveilleuse. Bon prix. Pas besoin de dessert le lassi sucré fera l'affaire. Ambiance calme, endroit propre & service amical. Si vous voulez essayer la vrai cuisine indienne la Thanjai en vaut définitivement le coup. Allez peu à peu, certains plats ont l'air petit mais on est bien vite satisfait. Le nan est fait maison, chaud & super bon! 🤩
We had dinner for two on a Sunday evening, & it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant was quite empty, so the food arrived quickly & was served piping hot. As is typical with excellent Tamil cuisine, the dishes were incredibly flavorful, prepared with quality ingredients, & perfectly spiced. My only suggestion would be to enhance the service slightly by having staff check in more frequently, clear empty plates, & be a bit more proactive.
One of the best places for South Indian cuisine.. we had Gopi Manchurian dry from there & it was delicious.. Also enjoyed chettinadu chicken curry & rice.. they were perfect.. a must place to visit if you want to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine..
Had the best South Indian (Tamil) experience. Tried their idiyappam & Goat curry (Diwali special) which was recommended by their staff itself & we loved it.. soft & rich curry .. Do try it out… you never regret it.
