Thai Sep propose une cuisine thaï authentique et lao avec des plats de qualité, des saveurs et des textures à des prix très raisonnables, et le service reste sympathique. La carte présente des plats classiques et des spécialités comme le pad thaï, le nem khao, la mangue au riz gluant, la salade de papaye et une sélection de currys, dans une ambiance familiale et sans prétention. Les plats sont savoureux et peuvent être rendus plus épicés sur demande, et l'huile pimentée maison est fortement appréciée. Il est possible d'apporter son vin et les paiements en espèces uniquement, avec des offres le mardi et un excellent rapport qualité-prix. L'expérience est décrite comme authentique, abordable et invitante à revenir.
Restaurant sans prétention avec nourriture laotienne & thaïlandaise impeccable. La qualité, le goût & les textures sont au rendez-vous, à prix raisonnable. Nous y mangeons depuis plus de 2 ans & adorons les caris, les saucisses, le nem khao, la salade de papaye, & bien sûr le pad thaï. Le mango sticky rice est également délicieux, mais coûteux pour la portion. Expérience à essayer si vous aimez la nourriture savoureuse & authentique (nous sommes allés en Thaïlande & pouvons confirmer que l'expérience culinaire est comparable)!
Ce n'était pas authentique Thaïlandais du tout. Nous avons pris une soupe Tom Yum mais le bouillon n'était pas savoureux. Ensuite, un Pad Kee Mao au poulet qui est supposé être épicé, mais il ne l'était pas du tout (décevant) puis, un laab au porc qui manquait de sel…
Pad See Ew with beef:
I honestly couldn't eat it. The noodles & vegetables were extremely mushy - I couldn't even use chopsticks or a spoon to bring them to my mouth. The beef was very tough, & the dish had almost no seasoning at all.
Chicken Pad Thai:
The seasoning was very bland & it didn't taste like Pad Thai. It felt more like a simple stir-fried noodle dish.
Thai salad:
I specifically mentioned that I am allergic to peanuts & asked to have the peanuts on the side. But they did NOT do that. They mixed the peanuts directly into the salad, so I couldn't eat it at all. The meal ended up being such a waste.
I am extremely disappointed. The quality was not guaranteed. I'm sure you will find better satisfaction eating at Thai Express.
Great Thai place that we've return to time & time again. They are very reasonable, & make most dishes with tofu if asked. Really great flavors & REAL spicy when you ask for it. That in house chili oil is FIRE!!
Petit restaurant familial authentique Thai/Lao. Les plats sont bien goûteux, servis par le propriétaire lui-même. Le saumon au cari est excellent, ainsi que le pad kra pao.
Great Thai restaurant with very affordable dishes! Absolutely loved the Tom Kha coconut soup, & would come back just for that! The pad kee mao & red curry were super flavourful as well!

THE best Thai restaurant in Montreal. A hidden gem just in the outskirts of Villeray/border St-Michel. We absolutely ADORED everything we ordered. We were 2 & got the following: - Papaya Salad (Laos Style) - Papaya Salad (Thai Style) - Nem Khao - Pad Thai - Large Tom Yum Soup - Mango sticky rice They get a bonus point for having papaya salad with padaek sauce (Laos style papaya salad) - personally, that's the true marker of an AUTHENTIC Thai restaurant. The mango sticky rice is a must have for dessert & the place is also a BYOB. Every single bite transported me back to Thailand & I can't wait to be back soon!
Délicieux petit bijou thailandais! Ca faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas mangé une salade de papaye aussi bonne. Le reste des plats étaient tout aussi délicieux. & les prix fort corrects. Je recommande!
I have a Thai foodie & catering chef in my family, & when she visits from Thailand, this is the only Thai restaurant she enjoys & considers authentic. Having been to Thailand recently & to multiple Thai restos in Montreal myself, I must agree.
The papaya salad, fresh, sour & spicy, brought me back to a street food stall at night in Bangkok, & the khaosoi reminded me of a comforting lunch in the searing heat of Chiang Mai.
If I had to nitpick, I would say that the northern style sausages were not as sour as I was used to back there, but still tasty.
The service was really friendly & quick too, & the prices quite reasonable considering the insane inflation we've been through.
Do keep in mind it's cash only & no ATM, so come prepared!
Price ranges after tax per person without drinks:
- one person, single dish: $16-$20
- two people sharing a few dishes: $25-$40
In short: if you want to try real Thai food, this is the place.
