One of the absolute highlights of our recent trip to Montreal! This family-owned gem won us over from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, effortlessly blending charm with thoughtful touches, & the service was outstanding.
My family started with the Mediterranean Pikilia, & every dip was so flavourful that we kept going back for'just one more bite.' The pitas were warm & slightly toasted.
I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken, & even the dressing was exceptional-a reminder that the little details make all the difference. The grilled chicken was unbelievably juicy, marinated in the most incredible lemon-herb marinade I think I've ever tasted. Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about it…
We spent the evening enjoying incredible food, laughing under the glowing patio lights, & making memories we'll be talking about for a long time.
A memorable meal & a restaurant I'd happily recommend to anyone visiting Montreal. I can't wait to return.
I never write these reviews but I can't hide such an incredible spot from others: I Went with my family for a little get together: We ate on the patio & were taken care of immediately, the staff & service was friendly & welcoming. I ordered the plate with rice, chicken shish-kabob & potatoes (ate every last bit everything is perfectly cooked & seasoned) My Grandmother got a greek salad with chicken breast. I don't know how to express how perfect the chicken was it was , cooked to absolute perfection the lemmon oil is delicious & the salad was incredible. we got the 3 dips as well & it was gone within seconds, incredible portion with more than enough! The owner was so polite & came outside to say hello - such an incredible experience will definitely return & encourage other to try it as well. very well priced & service was fast with such incredible staff & management!
We visited Terrace Thanos as a group of three & had an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, friendly, attentive, & welcoming throughout the evening. The food was delicious, & considering the quality & portion sizes, the prices were more than fair.
We started with the calamari appetizer, which was perfectly cooked & absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the rib steak cooked medium rare, & it was done to perfection. The potatoes were excellent, & I especially loved the dressing on the house salad. My friend ordered the chicken breast filet plate & couldn't stop talking about how tender & flavorful the chicken was. My girlfriend had the pork chops plate & loved it as well. The pork chops were incredibly tender & cooked just right.
To finish the meal, we shared the homemade Greek galaktoboureko. As someone who loves this dessert, I can honestly say it was a perfect 10/10. It was so good that I went back for seconds! Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, generous portions, & exceptional service. We will definitely be coming back & highly recommend Terrace Thanos to anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine in Montreal.

Had the most incredible authentic Greek food at Thanos!! The spanakopita is homemade & delicious. The calamari was amazing. For the main we split chicken sticks, pork pita, & a Thanos pizza. Everything was top notch !! The Tziziki is made with yogurt & tastes like the ones in Greece!! Finally, the homemade desserts were to die for. Both the cheesecake & Galaktoboureko are a must try!! Thanks to Angelo & the entire team for an amazing night
Food was amazing, take-out at least. Lamb chops & chicken were especially tasty, pork chop was a little tough but in a hearty & meaty way. Tazitziki was classic. Portions on the meat were a small for 100$+ order of assortiments de grillades, but owner is extremely friendly & was helpful for over 10 minutes on the phone.
Stopped by last night for dinner. Overall, I would rate it 4.5, but google doesn't allow for 1/2 ratings. The only issue was the speed of service. Our server was very nice & did check on us periodically. The issue was that it wasn't very busy, but it took over an hour for the food to come out. We all had the chicken soulvaki platter, which was excellent. The rice & potatoes were also cooked very well. The salads looked great as well. We ended up getting dessert, & both the Bakalva & cheese cake were excellent. The coffee was a little weak for my taste. I like my coffee pretty strong. Overall, I would go again if in the area.
I highly recommend Thanos restaurant. Home cooked meals made with Meraki ♥️ The calamari one of many favourites was made with perfection, a tender crispiness & so tasty you could not get enough of. We ordered the meat platter for two. Very generous portions the lamb chops melted in your mouth. The porc chops were grilled to perfection. The Greek loukaniko was good & the chicken was deliciously seasoned & so tender. Potato lovers the Greek potatoes are a must try equally the same for the rice simple but delicious. Another note worth mentioning the salad was served separately. No hot cold mix. The food & service quality was truly exceptional, a gem worth taking a drive for & you will definitely not rave disappointed. I can't wait to come back. Cheers! Maria V.
Nice resto with good food & kind staff. Food was not overly salty or oily, reminiscent of food from Greece. The chicken was a little burnt but all good.
The bad: Even though the restaurant was empty inside (only busy on the terrace), the service was really not great. We had to ask to get our water refill, & it took a good 10min until they came back with the water. The server was almost never present, so most of the meal our glasses of water were empty. It also took a really long time to receive the main dish & for a table of 2 we didn't receive it at the same time. So one of us was almost done with their plate before the other received it. (It would have been cold if we had to wait for both plates to arrive) I understand it can happen for a big group of people, but a table of 2 & not sending the dishes at the same time is really not great. The pork souvlaki was good, but the chicken souvlaki inside the pita was really dry. Also, I don't suggest paying the extra 7 $ to get the greek salad instead of the house salad. The only difference between both was 3 olives, 3 little pieces of cheese, & one pepper. I would say it's probably more worth it if you choose the Ceasars or horiatiki salad instead of the greek. The good: the fried calamari was a bit chewy but overall good. the rice & potatoes were good, but the salad that is included with the main dishes comes as a starter before everything else. So if you like to eat your salad with the rest of your main dish, you can't. The great: the terrace is really pretty & calm, so the atmosphere is great during summer.
