Fantastic rooftop views & food worth coming back for. Expertly shucked oysters, & exceptional cocktails. We came early, so the service was awesome. Our server was relatively new but very attentive & knowledgeable. I'd recommend getting there earlier to nab a table by the water view!View more

Terrasse Nelligan was okay, the food was a little bland & their water is lukewarm. The service was good, but very slow. My table ordered the oysters (very good, 7.5/10) the tuna tartare (7/10), truffle parm fries (8/10), the katsu chicken sando (very dry, chicken tastes like frozen food, it wasn't katsu it was nuggets, sauce is only on top so the bread is very dry & it's not very pleasant when you try to eat it; 4/10), the salade niçoise (5/10, the tuna tasted weird, the rest didn't really taste like anything) & finally the shrimp bao (6/10). As for the drinks we had strawberry mojitos, they were good. Overall, it was an ok experience, I wouldn't recommend this place for their food, but it's a nice spot for pictures.View more

The experience is amazing . The reservation is online & easy . I even added an additional note which they took into consideration. I highly recommend it to lovers of sea food. I personally loved their octopus with a glass of wine. It's actually my 2nd best octopus i ever tasted.View more

This place is an absolute gem in the heart of the old port! My recent visit was nothing short of spectacular. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavor. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The salad was fresh & crisp, the octopus was perfectly tender with a delightful char, & the fries were crispy & seasoned to perfection. Each plate was a true culinary delight. The service was impeccable, thanks to our wonderful waiter, William. He was friendly, attentive, & very knowledgeable about the menu. We knew we wanted to stay in the Old Montreal area so we can easily walk the neighborhood attractions (river only 2 blocks away- don't skip the ferris wheel views!) & access to great restaurants but have never visited Montreal before so were choosing our hotel blindly. I later learned that locals enjoy this hotel a lot so they clearly have a good local reputation. Our group stayed in early Sept 2023 & our stay was made extra enjoyable by Chris & Shalana - honestly, the entire team from valet parking to check-in to reservations was friendly & helpful. Rooms were styled in a moody lofty modern way & were very clean - we would definitely recommend this hotel. We drove in but left our car with valet the remaining 3-nights & mostly walked (this area was very heavy with pedestrians so would not be easy to navigate by car but didn't need it anyway), & only took an Uber to the Botanical Gardens (can easily spend all day there) & scored a great dinner reservation at Liverpool House which was not in easy walking distance. We also enjoyed dinner one night at the hotel - very lively & festive atmosphere & great for cocktails & a light dinner. I don't remember the other restaurant names but within walking distance we had crepes, poutine & the cutest cafe's for breakfast, we basically ate our way thru the City. My only wish is that they had more rooms with double-queen beds so I can go back with other family/friends that I don't want to share a bed. Mostly King beds which are perfect for romantic getaways. Overall Old Montreal was incredibly beautiful & Hotel Nelligan made a great location from which to explore.View more

Service was impeccable. Every interaction was positive. The breakfast at Nelli was delicious. Location was perfect. We could walk to everything. The rooms were beautiful, however if your neighbors are loud, it sounds like they are right in your room. This was the one annoyance. I would still highly recommend.View more

We recently enjoyed a spectacular stay at Hotel Nelligan. The staff were incredibly warm & friendly. The doormen/ bellhops, front desk staff, housekeeping team - they all provided amazing service. Their kindness was evident throughout our entire stay. Our room was clean & spacious. The exposed brick vibe is stunning. Toiletries were luxurious & in abundance. The hotel is in a prime location in the heart of Old Montreal. We loved our nightly walks throughout the beautifully lit cobblestone streets of Old Port! Mornings consisted of a quick walk down to Nelli Cafe, to enjoy a complimentary freshly brewed drip coffee.
Overall Hotel Nelligan is quaint & charming- & I would highly recommend it. Thank you to the amazing staff for making it such a memorable stay for us!View more
