Nice looking place. Lost in the middle of North Eastern Suburbia, about 40 minutes from downtown Montreal. Fair food, normal prices. Lovely hostess/waitress. They really struggle with speaking in English. I wonder if it's more to do with their willingness or capabilities? Too bad, won't be going back. Made my American guest feel unwelcomed.
Lovely decor, very elegant - the terrace on a shopping center parking lot, not so great. This was the second and probably the last time I go - I try not to judge with just one visit. Though I had been well received both times, I couldn't shake the sense that the place reeked of money hungry management. The excessive prices on the menu bolstered this feeling and nothing there really warranted such prices. The 'one style fits all' costume on the waitresses was a little cheesy. Nice try but it doesn't work - crisp black and whites are classics for a reason. With such prices, I would expect properly trained personnel, who are capable of recommending wine if they're out of what I ordered without running to ask their "boss". Also, properly trained staff never take orders nor read the daily menu from a little spiral pad. Nice people but unprofessional. The food was good but not spectacular enough for me to remember what I had either times I had been there but one thing I do remember is; the bread basket. I remember because of the nice, varied selection (I especially liked the nut bread), I also remember because I thought the basket was for our table but all we were served was a small, half slice of our choice and if you wanted more; you had to ask. I felt like I was begging. My biggest complaint with the place is paying prices that equal those on trendy St-Laurent Boulevard in downtown Montreal. It's good but not for that kind of money... I recommend it for business lunches and the atmosphere is good for meetings as it offers quiet and discreet little nooks.
