Gaspar was amazing! Emma, the manager, made sure everything was perfect. & we even had a mutual friend from Canada-US! Nicholas was an excellent server & made sure our special occasion was perfect as well. He brought over a dessert liqueur on the house! Thank you so much to the Gaspar staff! We had an excellent time!
We had a delightful & delicious experience at Gaspar in Old Town Montreal. Hugo was our kind & charming waiter. We were there off season for the special Happening Gourmand menu promotion. We enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, the tomato salad with quinoa, the Osso Buco (omg), & the halibut were amazing. We also enjoyed an almond mascarpone pastry (of sorts) at Hugo's recommendation. There is a wide selection of fine wines, too. The atmosphere is cozy & inviting. The service was impeccable. We highly recommend making reservations to dine here. We will gladly return next time.

The ambience of the restaurant was lovely. The food was tasty & the portions adequate. The staff were very professional & helpful. When my vegan Mille-feuille was not done very well the first time around & when I spoke with the waitstaff about it, they were able to remake it.
I can't believe I'm only writing this now - I've been meaning to for a while, so apologies for the delay!
My girlfriend took me here for my birthday, & it turned out to be such a memorable experience. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful - the atmosphere, the ambiance, everything just felt special from the moment we walked in.
What really made the night stand out, though, was our waitress, Kayla. She was incredible. Her personality was warm, genuine, & welcoming, & her service was top-notch from start to finish. She made us feel comfortable, took great care of us, & truly added to the whole experience.
It's rare to find a place that gets everything right - the setting, the vibe, & the people - but this restaurant absolutely did. I'll definitely be coming back & recommending it to others.
Thank you for making my birthday such a great one!
The hostesses were very helpful in getting me & my husband a table during a very busy Easter brunch. Kayla, our server, was so friendly, very helpful, & funny! (Thank you for being wonderful, Kayla!) She recommended the beefcheek Benedict & it was DELICIOUS! Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Montreal.
We stopped in at Gaspar for dinner without a reservation. We were greeted warmly by the hostess & our waiter Hugo was an absolute super star. He was so attentive & helpful. The food here was also fantastic - we ordered the oysters, bison tartare & the seared striped bass & we loved everything!
We dined here on recommendation of the hotel concierge. This classy joint is well-appointed & cozy, yet busy. We must underscore the flair & sophistication of the appetizers & entrees. We had the garlic shrimp, the balsamic tomato salad with arugula & quinoa, the Osso Buco, & the Cod entrees. For dessert we enjoyed a hazelnut cream pastry, which was delicious, too. The quality exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive & classy. Our server'H' was exceptionally kind & polite. They have an extensive wine list, but we ordered only San Pellegrino. I will add photos shortly.
Service was great. Burger was burnt, where meat was bitter. Kids didn't finish it. My wifes risoto (beef cheek dish) was so salty, she didnt finish it. My fries were cold, overcooked, soggy & super salty. I wouldn't even bother with the review, but for $250, & all 3 dishes left alot to be desired, i felt obligated to do so.
P.S. everywhere else it says they are open 10:30 am (assuming for lunch), but they open at 5pm.
