Un beau & bon resto à Magog cette Taverne 1855! L'endroit est petit mais bien sympathique, le personnel est attentionné & l'ambiance est assez festive à l'avant avec son bar. Le choix de menu est varié & la bouffe est vraiment bonne! Les saveurs sont au rendez-vous! Longue vie à ses nouveaux proprios, vous faites une différence!
Magnifique expérience aujourd'hui a la taverne ! Nourriture excellente, service impeccable & quoi dire se l'ambiance ! Un vrai bijoux ! Arrêt obligatoire lorsque vous venez à magog !
Nous avons adoré notre expérience au 1855 à Magog ! Nous avons mangé des fish tacos à la morue qui étaient tout simplement excellents : le poisson, bien croustillant, accompagné d'une petite mayonnaise savoureuse, était parfaitement réussi. Le tout servi avec le sourire & une attention impeccable. Nous avons été super bien accueillis & servis. Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter & où nous retournerons avec plaisir !
We visited Taverne 1855 on our first night in Magog & were seated on the back terrasse. The atmosphere was lovely, & the staff, particularly a gentleman who appeared to be the owner or manager, was warm & welcoming. He made an effort to engage with customers.
Unfortunately, the service from our assigned waitress was disappointing. We waited over 20 minutes before she acknowledged us, & during that time we were not offered water, menus, or utensils. She seemed overwhelmed, though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy & she only had a few tables to manage.
We started with the fried calamari, which was brought by another staff member who noticed we still had no utensils or napkins. We also had to remind our waitress about our drinks, to which she replied,'Oh, I thought I brought them.'
When the main dishes arrived, we were pleased with the food. My husband enjoyed his burger, & my daughter & I really liked the bavette. However, there was a mix-up with my son's order. Instead of the regular poutine from the kids' menu, the chef mistakenly prepared the duck poutine. My son is five, so understandably he wouldn't eat it. We asked for the correct dish, & thankfully it was fixed a few minutes later.
All in all, the food was very good, but the service from our waitress ...... seemed like a lack of experience more than anything. Oh, & we never did get that water.
Une des meilleures tables de Magog endroit charmant superbe terrasse, demander Arielle pour vous servir, toujours souriante & un service impeccable. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.
Une belle découverte à Magog. Il y avait de l'amour & du soin dans tous les plats. Une bonne cuisine de brasserie avec une touche de raffinement au niveau des saveurs. On aimerait plus de vins au verre, surtout nature, bio. Très bons cocktails. Le chef en cuisine & son équipe (nous avions la table en face) sont d'une grande efficacité, on voit que tout est préparé au fur & à mesure, il y a de l'action, un peu de bruit aux tables avoisinantes mais quand même intéressant de voir la brigade s'activer ainsi en cuisine. On y retourne !
La qualité des plats était à la hauteur de nos attentes & le risotto exceptionnel. Malgré un dimanche soir bien occupé, le service était courtois & efficace. De loin la meilleure table de Magog!
Lors de notre séjour à Magog, nous sommes sortis pour un souper tardif avec mon mari. Il faisait déjà frais, mais nous avons mangé sur la terrasse arrière. Il y avait un chauffe-terrasse. C'était très agréable ! La nourriture était super bonne, & l'ambiance ainsi que le service étaient également excellents. La salade contenait des éléments marinés, ce qui était acide & se mariait parfaitement avec le fromage frit. J'étais surprise par la soupe froide également. L'agneau était tendre & servi avec des légumes. Les pommes de terre étaient comme une sorte de mille-feuille. C'était très bon aussi. Belle expérience dans l'ensemble !

We drove into Magog for the day from Montreal & we decided to give this place a try. Great service from the start. Warm & welcoming. We had the salmon & bavette. The food was anwesome & the restaurant itself was really cozy. Prices were a bit steep but I totally get it as I am a General Manager/Head bartender at a Pub in Montreal & our overhead has gone up exponentially. Overall a great experience & we will definitely come back. Very happy we stopped in. 🤘
