Reviews portray Tacos Tin Tan as a standout for birria and quesabirria, with juicy fillings and a rich, well balanced consomme, and they praise the guacamole, chips, and a range of salsas from mild green to spicy red that keep the flavors exciting. Service is described as fast, friendly, and attentive, with a cozy, authentic vibe in a small space that many visitors find charming. While portions are sometimes noted as small and a few items receive mixed feedback such as a dry chicken taco or variable value, the birria tacos are frequently called the best in Montreal by many, and the overall experience is described as genuine and worth returning for, including attempts to try ramen birria. Overall, Tacos Tin Tan emerges as a top pick for birria lovers and a solid spot for authentic Mexican flavors in St-Henri, with strong repeat appeal and a lively, welcoming feel.

Of the 3 birria tacos places we've tried in Montreal, this was the best. The portions were great as it came with 4 instead of 3 tacos. They were stuffed full with filling. The consomme was incredible. The guac & chips were very reasonably priced & so delicious. The staff were kind & the restaurant was homey & authentic. They brought us their hot sauce/salsas without being asked & both were absolutely delicious. The green salsa was a refreshing, mild type of salsa & the red was like a habanero style with a spice level that continues to increase on your tongue. Both were absolutely delicious & we couldn't stop eating. We absolutely loved the experience & the food.
I unfortunately was not a fan. The portions are not the best & of the three types of tacos we had (birria, chicken, pork), only the birria was decently juicy with good flavour. The horchata tastes good albeit slightly watered down.

I live in LA & have eaten tacos all over the world including authentic ones in cities all over Mexico. This place is incredible, top 3 tacos I have ever had. Tried the Ceviche, El Pastor & Birria & when I finished I went for a round 2 of the ceviche! 100% coming back real soon!!! 🤩🌮🇲🇽
Quesabirria tacos were delicious, but small enough to leave me wanting more (another 3). Meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Drinks were made by a beautiful young lady who I think is very knowledgeable in what she's doing. Agua Fresca was MASSIVE (in a good way). Place is smaller than what I would've expected but not necessarily a bad thing unless it gets line out the door busy. Not from the area so it's a shame this is all the way in Montréal.
Man this place was good but the chicken taco was dry as hell. Price was pretty steep too unless it's just me that,'s unfamiliar with taco prices. I paid $195 for 36 tacos & 2 guac. If I remember correctly, the regular price was about $16-$18 for 3 tacos. Very small place as well which can sit about 10 person at most.

3.5 I love paying right away so you can just leave after. Not a place for cocktails , but they do have Mexican coke- ice is great.
Birria was delish , nice crunch but 4 tacos are tiny for $18
Pastor was not my fave, but I'm sure some people would like it.
Service was great, people are nice & the food came pretty quickly. We went early & didn't wait for a spot.
