Today I had my 1st bad experience here. So if it was bad how come am I still rating it so highly? I have been coming to Frida for a few years & the food never disappointed me. Today there was an issue with our order & it took 35 mins to somebody to note that there was something wrong. The manager immediately corrected, served us, & instead of offering the drinks or a coffee as a make up gesture, he offered us the full meal! A most appreciated gesture, specially in these hard days. THANK YOU!
I used to really love this restaurant, but the other day, I ordered to go, & I found a short black hair in the food (like a men hair), I was disgusted, I was too far to go back to the restaurant. I had to throw away 20$ of food. I will never go back to this restaurant. Also, the portion are very small for the price.
Very vibrant decor & ambiance, attentive service, & truly perfect food. This was my first time eating pozole & I think I fell in love. The textures & flavours were incredible. The birria tacos were excellent. We paired that with the cecina plate, which was also fabulously delicious. A real feast for the senses!
Nos repas ont été servis vraiment rapidement. Tout était excellent. Les employés ont été courtois & les enfants ont adoré. C'est notre deuxième visite & ce ne sera pas la dernière.

Service a bit slow, small resto...its cold sitting near the door. But the food!! Wow, we really loved it, I will go back but a little closer to summer.
Tacos Frida is a vibrant & welcoming gem that captures the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine. Having visited multiple times, this recent experience truly impressed me. I sampled the chicken nachos, steak quesadilla, & pescado tacos, & each dish was a standout. The chicken nachos were piled high with tender, flavorful chicken & rich, melted cheese. The steak quesadilla featured a perfectly crispy exterior, while the juicy steak inside was full of savory goodness. The pescado tacos were a delightful blend of spice & sweetness, offering a burst of flavor in every bite.
I also tried the drinks & shots, & the hibiscus margarita was a clear winner-it was refreshing, with just the right mix of tartness & sweetness. The cozy, inviting atmosphere & the always-friendly, attentive service add to the overall experience. With its reasonable prices & top-quality food, Tacos Frida is the ultimate destination for anyone craving exceptional Mexican fare. Highly recommend it!

We ordered three different'plats' over the phone, when I picked it up & I saw the'plats' were just the'Tacos'. Then upon arriving home one of the'Taco' plates was actually half quesadilla, the other taco plate was the wrong type of meat. We went back & asked to have the three taco meals switched to plats like we had asked for, & to correct the wrong plate. After confirming & waiting another 20minutes, we got back home to find they have asada again instead of pescado.
Normally I only have good things to say about this restaurant because it is amazing, but after 4 mistakes I feel like I had to post this.
Some of the best tacos I've tried! The ingredients were very fresh, & the food was delicious. I had the tortilla soup & guacamole with chips as an entrée, highly recommend! For my main dish, I chose the Tinga Tacos, which were also excellent. Unfortunately couldn't try the churros :(
Great location with superb food & music. Couldn't ask for a better authentic experience in Montreal. From fish tacos to churros for dessert & a birria plate in between. This place has everything to make a difference. Ill drive an hour to eat here. Gracias Tacos Frida.
