A FANTASTIC MEXICAN RESTO! A DENIFITION! REAL MEXICAN CUISINE AT YOUR TABLE! A ++++ WE'VE TRIED OTHER TACO RESTO'S! BUT NO COMPETION!! HOME STYLE REAL DELI TOUCH!! I TRIED THE NEIGHBOR !! VICTOR TACO & A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT .. UNFORTUNATELY!! BUT FRIDA A DEFINITE No. 1 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Had been before & enjoyed with my family. This time was a disaster unfortunately. Was there with my wife & youngest child. We waited for about 40 minutes for a table which was fine. When we finally sat down & ordered they had no more birria tacos which was fine although it was only around 7 :15. This can happen. What we were not expecting was to be served our main course without receiving our appetizers. When I asked if we could please get our appetizers first they brought the food back towards the kitchen & turned right around saying there was no room to put our mains on the side while we waited for our apps & ate them. They said they just brought everything out despite our clear communication that we did not want our main course yet, & went back into the kitchen & brought back both the appetizers & main course all at once. The experience got outrageous when Leonardo the manager came to the table to tell us that it is not his fault nor the servers fault because the kitchen is busy. When I mentioned I have not written a review before but would, he told me that this did not matter to him. They are too busy anyways with all the takeout, dine in & Uber Eats. He said they have so many reviews that mine does not matter. Made me feel even smaller as a customer, & more that it was my privilege to be there, rather than being treated like a customer, or even like a person. Extremely unfortunate that Leonardo feels this way. My 10 year old was not all that impressed with his attitude & disrespect. The food is decent enough but honestly there are so many other Mexican restaurants now in the city that I definitely won't have to feel the need to go back here for a visit.

Lovely wife & I haveeento this little taco place & have had a wonderful time on both occasions.
The only disappointment we encountered was a shortage of the dessert item we wanted.
But everything else was great.
The service was on point, & the food delicious.
We recently visited Tacos Frida & overall had a pleasant experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, cozy, & has a lovely atmosphere. The service was good, & the staff was very friendly & attentive throughout our visit.
The food is definitely not bad at all, but I do have a few comments. To start, we ordered a small pozole, which was absolutely delicious & served in a very generous portion - easily a 10/10. We also had a small tortilla soup, which was equally delicious. We ordered guacamole with tortilla chips as well, but I found it a bit pricey considering the amount served.
Now, moving on to the main dishes. In terms of flavor, everything was very tasty, & we weren't disappointed by the taste of anything we ordered. However, I was a little disappointed by the portion sizes in relation to the prices. I ordered the cochinita plate, which came with rice, avocado, & beans. Again, the flavor was very good, but for the price, I expected a bit more food. The burrito was another disappointment in terms of size, as it was quite small. We also tried the gringas, which were okay.
For dessert, we originally wanted the chocoflan, but unfortunately it wasn't available, so we ordered the tres leches cake instead. In my opinion, it was a little too sweet. On the other hand, the churros were absolutely delicious!
Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The food is flavorful, the atmosphere is inviting, & the service is excellent. I just think some of the portion sizes could be improved to better match the prices.
Been here several times & the quality of food & service remains consistent & reliable anytime were craving authentic tacos! We love coming here for their birria or shrimp tacos & mojitos but the menu has great options🔥
I go to this place literally twice a week. I should probably learn how to make tacos / burritos myself but these guys are so good & so consistent, I fold regularly…
They gave me free chips today with my guacamole & burrito. Safe to say, huge fan of Frida & her tacos.
Surprisingly an overall deeply disappointing experience. To start off, our side of chips & guacamole (accompanying salsa was curiously not an option?) came with only 7 chips for the both of us! Not to mention that this was a paid side, unlike the norm in most taco joints. I ordered the Oaxacan beef tacos, which are supposedly the chef's specialty, & was met with dry meat & an underwhelming amount of seasoning. The two table sauces offered little help, as earthy bitterness took over the acidic brightness you would usually come to expect. My partner, who is from the Southern United States, & thus accustomed to quality Latin American/Mexican cooking, ordered the chicken quesadilla & was also very disappointed by how dry & flavourless it was, even going so far as to believe precooked sandwich meat may have been used.
If you want quality authentic tacos in Montreal (which granted, is a rarity in itself!), the best we have had here was surprisingly Impac Taco located in marché aux puces Métropolitain. The La Toxica located in Chinatown is also decent.
This little Mexican restaurant serves great authentic food & some items on the menu can only be found there.
Good Mexican vibe too. The nachos & salads were super fresh & flavorful.
