Tacochon Restaurant Mexicain is described as a place with delicious tacos, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere; diners consistently praise friendly, attentive service and quick, reliable meals, with a varied menu that appeals to families and a sense of authentic Mexican flavor, while a few reviews note parking challenges and occasional price concerns.
Very good. Recommend the tacos & the Papas Locas. My family enjoyed the food & atmosphere. We were lucky enough to bring home one of their delicious sauces home. Thank you. 🌮🐖
I had the chance to pick a random spot for a business & dinner meeting & this place was casual enough to have my laptop out, as well as delicious food choices for everyone. I called to make a reservation, but it was unnecessary. The street & the building are under construction so it was difficult to park. I arrived & the waitresses were lovely & I sat at the bench. Try the Jamica juice! I ordered some calamari, & my friend ordered a small soup but accidentally received the large at no extra charge. We then had mains. I grabbed the delicious shrimp tacos. 3 for 15$ is a good deal. The chips & guac also very good. Our party was there & didn't feel rushed to eat. But the lighting makes it seem very family friendly & a few people had kids. Others were there for the drinks at the bar. Nice decor too!
Positive: *Nice clean environment. *The staff was polite. *The staff provided me with extra pineapple when I wasn't happy with the amount on my plate. * The staff went above & beyond when we mentioned we loved the habanero sauce. (Please try with caution but it's amazing). Negative: * We needed to ask for service twice often & once the second request was made it took a while to be brought what we needed to the table. * Someone's entree was forgotten (not charged). * One client was served the wrong dish (was solved without a fuss). * The meat in the pastor tacos was dry & didn't taste fresh, & all dishes that included pineapple had about 4 pieces or less of pineapple. * The calamari was 16$ but was a small basket. They weren't crunchy & the meat's texture was super soft. * The drinks are expensive (12$ for most) & I dont really recommend the 18$ Michelada. It's a nice display & tastes great but was terribly small for the price regardless. *The meals are expensive but sadly small & not filling. (3 tacos for 15 - 16$ before tx for example). I am hoping that this may just have been a bad day for them, but there is definitely some place for improvement overall. Disclaimer: I'm sure that the waitress was brand new & was probably struggling with one of her first groups (6 people) but I still think she did a good job under the stress she was under.
Excellente soirée à votre restaurant. Nous avons adoré la grande soupe que nous avons partagé & les tacos c'était excellent Une belle découverte pour nous . Nous allons revenir assurément
Taste of food was ok, somehow tacos were warmish & portions were quite small but chubby (generous chunks of meat) rice entry was delicious beyond expectations but served I a tiny plate, overpriced (almost 40$ for 2 tacos orders). Service is quite mediocre, unwelcome, unfriendly, takes forever to order. The waitress had a lot of attitude when I ordered in Spanish, she seem annoyed & forgot about my kid & I for a while. Took 2 other tables order before us. She suddenly changed her attitude when I spoke French/English. Maybe in Laval is an acceptable place but there's way better quality restaurants in Montreal with more affordable prices & better service.
OMG, this taco place is seriously amazing! 🙌 The food here is like *chef's kiss* delicious. The shrimp tacos are my absolute favorite. They're so tasty. But, I gotta be honest, the name of the restaurant is not my cup of tea. I mean, it's not the most appealing name.
