Amazing place, great food & a fun night. We ordered birria, fish, chicken & shrimp tacos & they were all so good. The staff were great. The vibe is extraordinary. It was such a fun evening for us.

A brand new taco place opened up right at the beginning of summer, & we just had to check it out immediately. The pink décor instantly caught our eye upon entering, & the warm, welcoming smile of our new friend Leonardo made us feel like we were about to have a great time. But we weren't ready. This place is bonkers. Firstly, we are huge fans of fish tacos, & these are glorious. Perfectly prepared & seasoned, topped with a delicious sauce & just the right size. The tacos de pastor were equally wonderful. We washed the whole thing down with an absolute swimming pool of spicy margarita. Seriously, it was enormous. Talk about drowning your sorrows 😂. We were told it's about 24oz. Insane. But that wasn't the only crazy drink we saw. We will have to go back to try the tower of beer or the huge personal barrels. We're not sure what they're called, but we want them. This place is made for good food & good fun in groups, & we can't wait to go back with our friends.
Great food. Reasonable prices. A bit too noisy for me as the place was full. Staff seemed to be a bit disorganized but i'm sure they will catch up (went there a week after the opening). Staff very attentive to clients' needs. Will go back for sure
Je me permet ces commentaires puisque je juge que le restaurant est ouvert depuis peu, donc encore en rodage: -Le serveur très timide cherchait ses mots en français pour nous décrire son menu, dont il fallait demander une copie papier puisque seulement un code QR est présent sur la table. Il me semble que la question devrait être posée. Le menu comporte également plusieurs erreurs d'orthographe malheureusement. -Les plats sont bons, mais rien de fameux. Le prix est élevé pour ce que c'est & pour le quartier. Rappelons-nous que c'est le 4 ou 5ième restaurant à cet endroit en quelques années. C'est rare que je vais dire ceci, mais il y a beaucoup trop de fromage & les plats ne goûtent que cela. -La décoration & la peinture semblent avoir été faites rapidement. Il reste des murs sales & non repeints exposés (exemple : en haut de la porte de garage), tout comme certains trous dans les murs, notamment pour passer les fils (il existe des plaques décoratrices pour cacher cela & empêcher la vermine d'y aller). Il y a des grilles de ventilation à moitié peintes comme si elle n'avaient pas été recouvertes pendant la peinture du mur. Cela manque de finition. En espérant que ceci sera perçu comme constructif pour vous aider à attirer, mais surtout conserver des client.e.s fidèles. Bonne continuité !
The food was ok but in some cases it was not authentic. The guacamole & the Aztec soup were good but the tacos al pastor did not taste at all like the original ones. The "aguachile" had way too much vinager. I would have loved to give a better rating but when I went there, there was a plastic container below the men's urinal to catch a leak.... & the plastic container was full of urine. For me that is a no-no. :S In response of the owner's comment: I appreciate your response. I will come back for sure to try the new recepie. I understand about the plumber.
Wow. Tellement contente d avoir ce restaurant près de chez moi. Service impeccable. Les drinks sont super bons. On a essayé les nachos. Très bon même si un peu trop de sauce aux haricots. On va revenir c est sur !

Had a lovely dinner there with my partner, we ordered tacos birria & a burrito which were amazing! Someone in the comments complained about small portion & little meat... well the tacos birria came overflowing with beef & included 4 whole tacos which i could barely finish! Staff was super friendly & checked up on us regularly, & definitely did not forget any items in our order. The table had salt & pepper shakers & 2 sauces, one which is super spicy but tasted great on the tacos. I would recommend trying them with your food. Atmosphere was great, maybe a bit too family friendly for me... so next time we'll go late in the evening to avoid kids.
Manque de personnel à l'accueil. Les prix sont beaucoup trop élevés, il se fait meilleur ailleurs & ce à un meilleur prix. Les frites ne sont pas maison & goûtent le congelé Il manquait des ingrédients à mon plat Le service était à désirer - manque de jovialité & de charisme du personnel. Il n'avait pas d'option de laisser le 15 %, il commence à 18 % Bref, je n'ai pas eu de coup de coeur & il y a encore beaucoup de rodage à faire.
We went at this new place in the neighbourhood a few days after opening to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere & the food. We ordered tacos Pastor & enchiladas & the dishes were delicious. Definitely going back again to try more.

So happy to have an authentic mexican restaurant on Monk! The people that work there are very kind. The food is delicious & I am excited to go back! As with any new restaurant they are working out the kinks so people need to be kind when they go! I hope they will eventually add tres lèche cake to to the menu 🤞🏻🙏
We had THE MOST FUN at Taco & Margarita! I find the bad reviews here pretty wild, it was their opening weekend & some growing pains were bound to come out, especially when you kick things off with 3 nights of parties. The food was amazing, we spent a couple weeks traveling through Mexico this winter & it felt so authentic to some of our favorite spots. Their birria was really really good! The atmosphere also felt so authentic to our time in Mexico, & it was such a refreshing experience here in Montreal. I'm already trying to find excuses to go again, hope this place becomes a staple in Ville-Emard!
Really fun addition to the area with good music, fun vibes & most importantly delicious food. Loved the guacamole & the birria tacos the most! Obviously this has just opened so service is a bit slow (hard to do 3 back to back opening night events!) but I'm so excited to come back ! Highly recommend for a fun experience. Margaritas were delicious as well.
