Review Summary

Sushiuma showcases an all you can eat format with high quality sushi and a wide range of cold and hot dishes that many reviewers say deliver great value. The service is described as fast and efficient, with friendly staff and a playful robot presence that adds to the experience. Bringing your own wine is a popular perk, and the lively atmosphere makes it a good spot for families and groups celebrating occasions. While some comments mention variability in taste, temperature, or timing during busy periods, most diners leave impressed by freshness and breadth of options. Overall, Sushiuma feels like a reliable choice for sushi lovers seeking variety, speed, and value in Montreal.

Sushiuma is one of the better all-you-can-eat sushi spots I've tried. The rolls were flavorful & not overloaded with rice. Fast service & friendly staff.

The sushi rice was way too sweet. I ate only a few rolls yet experienced a fever like state later that night. It seemed that, at the kitchen counter, some of the fish & other ingredients seemed to be left out in the open air & the staff was using it to make the rolls they were serving, so I suspect it was food poisoning.

One good thing is that they do offer some halal & veggie options. The torched sushi was offered & tasted great.

The service was fine, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was intensely dark. It could be better if they used some more lighting. Music was okay but kind of loud & not a peaceful choice of playlist for a sushi place.

Decent all you can eat restaurant. The tempura was nice. The fried rice was ok, one person of our pay ordered & theirs came nicely plated. When the second person ordered the same fried rice, it came on a little side place looking a little messy. The sushi was average. I think the appetizers were better than the miso & sushi. The pad thai was very flavourful. Overall a decent all you can eat restaurant. Seemed very popular as when we were leaving there was a huge line up & the restaurant was packed. This was a Saturday evening.

We have eaten here on many occasions before a show at PDA. This time, the sushi was very filling, bc it was 75%+ rice! Very little fish or veggies. Saturday is one of the most expensive days & I got the least for my money of all the times we have dined here. I can understand trying to reduce costs, but this was pathetic & over-obvious that they were trying to ensure you eat as little as possible. My fear near the end of our meal was that we were going to be able to finish our first order (very modest) & then be charged $1 per piece on TOP of the $42/pp. Hopefully the next time we visit will be better, otherwise, we'll find another sushi restaurant to enjoy.

I came here with my parents & let me tell you it was so disappointing, the sushi it was full of rice & not the actual ingredients, also u have to order things twice cause it will never come, so in conclusion if you only want to eat rice & only rice just come here

went for lunch with a friend .. did the buffet .. sea weed salad & soups perfect . we did like the rolls some you have to be careful are what you order .. we ordered a square rice with fish inside it was huge .. the tempura was not the best . but overall quite good . we could not finish what we ordered esp with those large rice squares & ended up paying an extra #15 so total bill for a lunch for 2 ended up being 96$ gave a 10$ tip . i have tried other places here no parking we paid 20$ for the parking . thats downtown .. over all good but i would not go back. make sure you get a large table even if only 2 people or you will not have any space on your table . we asked for another table to be moved with our first try not much response , 2d he did it right away . some of the platters are huge & take lots of space. ice cream was good .. but again for the price i was not so impressed we both agreed we have had better.

Unfortunately, the food here is not good. The rice was dry & flavorless & the fish was not cut well & not fresh. The meat skewers had a very strange texture. Even the ginger & wasabi tasted & looked old. At least there is a cute robot that delivers food to your table. Would not recommend.

The food here is of good quality considering that it's a all you can eat restaurant. The sushis were good with soft rice & fresh ingredients. I enjoyed their tempuras & their skewers. I also found it fun that they come torch some of the food at our table. They also have a robot delivering dishes. These make it an enjoyable experience. It also a bring your own wine. So you can bring your favorites & enjoy their good food. The decor as also very nice & tables were well spaced for a comfortable sitting.

The service was great & the place is nice but 40 dollars is too expensive for a one person dinner, plus there was too much rice in the maki's. Otherwise I really liked the robot that served the food.
