Dans l'ensemble, Sushi Yuu est salue pour des sushis frais et savoureux avec une belle presentation et une grande variete, incluant des rolls signatures, du sashimi, du nigiri et des bols de poke. Le personnel est décrit comme chaleureux et attentif et les plats a emporter sont pratiques et d'un bon rapport qualite prix. Certains avis signalent un service en salle plus lent et un espace de restauration assez restreint, avec une ambiance parfois simple. De nombreux gourmets estiment la qualite parmi les meilleures de l'Ouest de l'ile, trouvant le sushi frais et bien prepare. Quelques experiences mentionnent des incoherences occasionnelles dans le gout ou la presentation. L option a emporter et la constance de la fraicheur font de Sushi Yuu un choix remarquable pour les amateurs de sushi dans le quartier.
I should have known, that when making a dinner reservation, I was told that I should look at the menu & decide what we would eat before going. What? Because if they get busy, it would take 45 to 60 minutes to get our food.
So I looked over the menu the day before.
Why? There are 4 tables. How busy can it get? It's the take out...2 sushi chefs. It did take 45 minutes. It was ok. We were with friends & time passed quickly.
As for the food...I was impressed with the presentation. Beautiful.
Taste..ok. I liked the fact that the rolls had a minimal amount of rice & they were all a good size.
We ordered a variety of Specialty Maki, see pic.
The rice was light & fluffy. The rolls were solid & didn't fall apart. A definite plus. The ingredients were different than in other sushi restaurants which made nit interesting.
Would I go back? Not sure. Need to try it again.
The atmosphere is lacking & it smelled like bleach which was off putting to me while eating. The dirty dishes were sitting in the back, which wasn't the best view either but the other 1/2 of the restaurant was okay. I like the sushi paintings on the wall.
The service is a little slower. It wasn't busy but it still took above the average wait time to get our food. The waiter was good.
I sushi was fresh, & looked presentable. I didn't like that the ginger was seating out in a pot & looks old on the edges (I didn't eat it.) Their specialty rolls were tasty.
Maybe it's best to pick up from there instead of eating at the restaurant.

This is a wonderful sushi place to have in the neighborhood.
The sashimi slices are done right & the maki are perfectly rolled. Many places roll them too tightly making the rice too chewy.
Randomly came across this place while travelling & so glad we stopped in!! Typically weary of eating sushi on road trips through smaller towns but this place was excellent.
We had an assortment of suhi types including sashimi, nigiri, maki's etc. All were fantastic… but the unagi nigiri & anaconda roll were on another level. The anaconda was like nothing I've ever had!
Highly recommended!!
Will definitely be back again if passing through this area while they're open.
Very few tables inside but the sushi was very good. One thing I could mention is that making the rolls smaller would make it easier to pick up with chop sticks & eat.
Located in West Island, from the delicate fresh sashimi to the flavorful signature rolls, every bite melts in your mouth & is beautifully presented 🍣

Quiet & small sushi place. They have only 3 tables for dining in as they work mainly for take outs (that is what we were told). However, the quality of food was simply amazing ! We were struggling to find a place where you could go with kids & get fresh & good quality sushi, & we were totally satisfied with their service. As a starter, we had Peanut butter dumplings & imperial rolls, & then we opted for Art Collection. The overall quantity of wood was perfect for 2 adults & 2 teens. I hope we finally found our sushi place & you will decide for yourself.
Absolutely loved this place! Drove from Ottawa to meet a friend for lunch & the food alone was worth the drive! Ordered a platter & loved everything on it. Good variety of maki rolls & creative presentation. Great service & lovely intimate ambiance. Will definitely be back & have already told other friends about this place. 💯
We always come for takeaway home after shopping in CF Pointe Claire. The box is more than enough for three of us. Love the size & taste of their rolls!
