It is the best all-you-can-eat sushi spot in Montreal. The service is great, & the sushi is excellent. I especially enjoy coming on weekends because there's more variety!
I had a reservation for 7 at 7PM & despite the supper rush hour, the service & food was 10/10.

Very poor service. They had two large tables which the servers dedicated their full attention to & our table was left waiting.
We received less than half of what we ordered, my vegan friend had only a few pieces of tofu & was still expected to pay full price.
Even after we mentioned it multiple times by the time the bill came the manager was not very willing to compromise.
This was the only all you can eat place I've ever left still hungry.
Very disappointed. Hostess was not very nice so right off, bad vibe. The food was very blah. Everything had this weird purple rice in it. It was very heavy & unpleasant. This place used to be good but it has gone down now. Not recommend at all.
I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. Before coming, I called three different times to make sure there was a reservation for two people because the restaurant is very far from where I live (about 1 hour & 30 minutes away). I specifically asked if there was space available, & each time I was told yes.
However, when we arrived, the staff told me there was no reservation under my name. When I explained that I had called earlier, the only explanation I received was,'Oh, it's because you made the reservation today.' That excuse does not make sense to me. If someone calls a restaurant & asks if there is space & is told yes, they should not arrive & then be told there is no reservation & that they must wait 30 to 60 minutes.
We came all this way because we really wanted to try this restaurant, & it was extremely disappointing to be treated this way. The staff were not helpful & did not try to accommodate us or solve the issue. I have never experienced something like this at a restaurant before.
Overall, this was a very frustrating & disappointing experience.
We made a last-minute reservation for Sunday at 5:00 pm for 6 people, & it was my first time at Taketa Sushi. Everything was amazing! The food was very fresh & delicious - I can definitely say this is now my new favorite sushi spot. The service was also very fast & friendly. I would highly recommend it!
Be careful with the sashimi. We had a lot of raw salmon & ended up getting really bad food poisoning the night of
Great! I really enjoyed it & was surprised by the quality of the food, the speed of the service. A very good place!
