Imagine a freighter chugging slowly past the diner you are eating at....best experience ever? NOPE! It is the pan fried spaghetti (not from Sicily) for breakfast with your eggs! Coffee is real, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes (some blackened freshly fried) are not from the day before. The service at this place is genuinely down home, true & if you come once, I guarantee you will be back. I have not had a chance to try the lunch/supper/weekend menu but I have been assured (cornbread!) it will not disappoint. Apparently, the chicken wings are a must try & the other gems on the after brunch items will not disappoint. At least go for a cup of coffee between meals....the banana bread is not that meh stuff you buy at the chains...Just like your Grandma/Mom you use to make...dense, solid, & gratifying...had i known I would have bought a whole loaf!
This used to be a great place. Sadly the service has really gone down recently. My last 3 visits were really disappointing. When I order French toast & bacon I expect it to be served with syrup. All 3 times I had to wait as they'forgot'. Same waitress. Today was special. The bacon was half cooked & as cold as the plate. They go nuke the bacon for me after bringing the syrup I had to add for. Meanwhile I try the French toast & its cold too! They did offer to nuke it separately but by now my hubby is almost finished eating. I get a takeout container so I get yo go home & nuke it again & pay restaurant prices for this. The coffee was hot but service isn't up to its regular standards. I used to go twice a week but I'm done throwing away money for poor service & sub-par'food'.
