Service is terrible. I ordered an entry, but it never arrived. When challeged the staff, I've been told she never wrote it. Took time to be servred, & the fries are soggy. We were 3 to order the burger, one of us had BBQ sauce but not the other two.
My spouse was disappointed with the veggies in her plate.
For a steak house, I'm disappointed, & I don't think I will come back.
My spouse ordered a dessert & the staff brought a coffee. When mentioned she did ot order a coffee the manager said it was on the house. When it was time to pay, they were charging the coffee. It is not the price of the coffee the problem, it is the very poor service we received.
This is the first time that I take the time to review a restaurant & for the price charged, i was expecting more. Still hungry.View more

Une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle ! Le steak était absolument délicieux, cuit à la perfection, tendre & juteux. Chaque bouchée était un pur régal. Nous étions 9 personnes avec une réservation pour 17h30 & nous devions quitter pour 19h45 & cela nous convenait parfaitement. Nous avons tous pris des entrées soit crab cake, escargots, salade César, tartare de saumon, calmars, huîtres, menu principal, rissoto & pétoncle, bavette, joue de boeuf, steak Ribéry, agneau, saumon, tous le monde a adoré son repas & nous avons tous été servi en même temps par Guylaine qui était à l'écoute de nos demandes excellent service. Interesting concept they have no bar. You bring wine or you drink water. No chilling bin provided for your wine either. Server opened our wine, but did not pour it.
We ordered starters & got up to smoke outside- alerted our server & left our bag on the table (with our $70 bottle of wine). Returned to a manager? Owner? Having written on our table with pen'VIP'. This was absolutely tacky as hell. With five people working front of house, & my bag sitting visibly in the table, it's easy to communicate that the two at that table stepped outside.
I was wearing ripped jeans & my mukluks- while I don't exactly ooze'old money' we chose that establishment to have a decent dinner in our small town. I make good money & I like steak. Pretty simple.
Having come from a previous life before tech as a restaurant manager, it was clear they thought we were gonna dash.
We ended up eating starters, filet mignon & beef cheek, two desserts & coffees.
While I was thoroughly unimpressed with the tacky'vip' written on our paper tablecloth in pen, I tipped 25% on our bill & let that say all it needed to.
I will not ever return.
Considering you can't afford to keep your bar stocked, judging someone by their jeans & doing something as tacky as writing'VIP' on their table in pen was a terrible decision. I just wanted to treat my best friend to a good meal, I work crazy hours as a product manager in tech, & I am not getting fancied up for'Steve's' in Saint Jean, it's not Michelin starred or in a golf course. The bill was like $140? I sat down with a $70 bottle of Osoyoos LaRose wine from home. Get real.View more

Steves Steakhouse was a fantastic experience!! We were in St. Jean for my son's graduation from the Military Base; staff were able to accommodate a short notice reservation & went over & above to make our experience a memorable one. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, the service was amazing & the atmosphere exceeded my expectations. We were not aware you could bring your own wine to this establishment; we will keep this in mind for future visits.View more

The atmosphere & decor is awesome! The food is very delicious & tasty, my steak was medium well & the veggies were yummy with a little crunch to it. I Highly recommend the tiramisu! The only complaint I have was that the calamari were overcooked but the sauce that came with it was yummy! Bring your own wine as well!View more

We were a small group of 7. Plates ordered were hamburger steaks, ribs & a grilled salmon. The vegetables were soggy mostly fried onions. Service was mediocre. EVERYONE got sick badly except the person who had the salmon. That very same evening & the following day. We are absolutely beyond words.View more

Nous étions 7personnes avec une réservation pour 7h30 le 18 mai & noys avons été accueilli de manière très agréable & une petite attente de 5 minutes. Nous avons été servi par Laurence & avons eu la visite de Steele durant la soirée, notre expérience à cet endroit a vraiment été exceptionnel. Nous avons mangé des choses différentes & chacun de nous avons adoré nos plats de l'entrée au dessert tout était délicieux. C'était une première visite pour 5 d'entres nous mais non la dernière mon conjoint & moi avons hâte de faire découvrir ce Steak House à nos amis 💕 Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une table table & j'ai passé une excellente soirée. Aaaa steve steak house, comment dire le proprio super attentf au client le service est bon mais & oui mais deux fois j'y vais & très déçu à chaque fois premier fois, macreuse quoi dire si trop cuit ça revien à manger de caoutchouc très dure à mastiquer ça fondai pas dans bouche disons deuxième fois je me laisse tenter par un burger filet mignon (un lundi) ben un pain bruler calciner je n'en sert même pas chez moi à mon chien comment ça ça ce retrouve dans une assiette à 28$ très déçu je crois c'était la dernière fois pour moi!View more

Being anglophone, the name of this restaurant felt like there was a good chance someone spoke English. Once we started to speak everyone addressed us in English. The food was fantastic, the steak was cooked to perfection, the ribs were literally fall-off-the-bone, & so delicious. It didn't matter that the music playing was all in French, it was delightful to listen to, & really set the atmosphere of the restaurant. The eating area was clean with tables nicely spaced. The tables were set with everything needed. To look across the restaurant it all came together beautifully. They do not serve alcohol, or maybe it was just not beer, but they encouraged you to go to the convenience store across the driveway to purchase your alcohol & drink it in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices were a little on the higher end but what you received in service, food prep, presentation & atmosphere is worth every dollar.View more

J'ai commencée à suivre le restaurant à travers mon Instagram du à une publicité crée par le proprio (j'assume) ... donc j'ai cliqué sur la pub & j'ai commencée à suivre le resto sur Instagram... j'adore un steak juteux qui fond dans ma bouche. Nous avons pris la bavette (wow) patate monté Carlos (wow) & les frites céleris rave (wow). Même les légumes sauté coupé style julienne qui est un accompagnement était wow ...J'avais pris une réservation pour le 24 décembre, juste pour moi & mon mari, tranquille pour Noël, « C'ÉTAIT PLEIN À CRAQUER » mais plus important - absolument délicieux! Le proprio nous a accueilli à la porte, nous avons eu une table au fond du restaurant. Service 5 étoiles , nos assiettes 5 étoiles, Atmosphère 5 étoile. Le seul défaut c'est le bruit dans la restaurant, extrêmement bruitants avec tout les voix des gens qui parlent. Avec des barrière de sons bien installé au plafond, le bruit pourrais facilement tomber d'un 9 à un 4. Solution facile. Première fois chez Steve Steak House, nous avons commandé 2 filet mignon saignant , le repas est arrivé en 20 minutes & c'était excellent! La cuisson était parfaite avec une sauce au poivre délicieuse. Nous avons pris le Mi-cuit au chocolat & c'était vraiment très bon. Souper en amoureux.
Nous avons partagé une entrée de pieuvre, c était bien apprêté & servie sur une purée de panais, j ai beaucoup aimé.
La salade ceasar était très bonne & suffisante pour nous deux.
J ai pris le steak-frites ( macreuse), un 8 onces, cuisson parfaite & les frites croustillantes, mon amoureux,
a commandé la bavette en plus de terminer mon assiette .J ai pris la sauce au vin en accompagnement de mon steak.
Mon conjoint a pris en dessert , une tarte à la lime, qu il a dévoré.
Une belle ambiance, un très bon service, personnel souriant..
