Our kids love a good steak frites & had to come. We brought our own wine. Our server was friendly & attentive. We ordered the CHATEAUBRIAND for 2 & our steak came out too well done. They were so kind to make us the whole meal again. Otherwise everyone's steak was done medium perfectly. Our parents shared the salmon with fries, which was also delicious. Desserts were generous portions. We would totally come back again.

Tip: pick up wines at Avril Marche nearby. From 4-7pm wines are 50% off.

The food was delicious! Yummy escargot, then steak frites. I agree with the other reviewer regarding the steak knives as it took a lot of cutting to get my steak into bite size pieces.
I didn't know about bringing your own wine sadly, but if you know it's great!
The apple pie dessert was delicious too, the caramel sauce surrounded the pie & the crust was flavorful.

Incredible steak! I got the classic steak frites & it was cooked perfectly. I love the unlimited fries. The escargot was also amazing! I would skip the beef tartare next time.

Also, it's BYOB. We saw a table next to us who brought a 6 pack of beer & a bottle of wine. & they chill it for you, too. Wish we knew!

Did you know you can bring your own alcohol here? Everyone had a bottle of wine just for themselves. Legendary.
I don't know how to take off a couple stars in the rating for how dull the knives were. So, 40 times attempting to slice my steak - that's 80 strokes total - & the tendons were not cut... So I asked for a sharper knife, (aside: at my new knife request, the lady next to me chimed in saying that their knives were also terrible) which was just larger in size & only took 20 attempts at 40 strokes total. Yes, I counted. Usually a steak as small as a fillet mignon is still warm at the last bite but this was the first time my entire dish was stone cold not even halfway through. It was cooked correctly but I've never had sore hands from eating a steak dinner. If I had an entire bottle of wine with dinner I suppose I would not have minded the surprise workout as much. I was fighting for a buzz as hard as I was trying not to lose a digit or accidentally fling my plate's contents in the slicing process.
Our waiter was nice enough, I can tell they work hard there. It was a funny way to end the visit to Montreal, & I would go back there again with more alcohol & my own steak knife.

Very mediocre chateaubriand. Salmon was good as was beef tartare. Like being able to bring in wine at no cost but wine glasses could be a bit large

Food & Atmosphere are good. They have a bring your own wine option which is nice. Looked online & they said there was a bar which Served beer & other drinks.
When we arrived, we were told that they did not have a bar service, & did not serve any alcohol at all.
Would of been nice to know beforehand.
