Food was ok but definitely not good enough for the price. Some all you can eat sushi places with the same rate has such high quality food, but not this one. Bathrooms were disgusting. Service was alright. But if you want good food, go somewhere else.View more

Went to this restaurant with a friend of mine yesterday & it was a memorable experience. The sushi was one of the best I had in a while, very fresh. The place is very cozy (though slightly dimmer lights would make it even better!), the staff is very kind (shoutout to the waitress who gave impeccable service!)

Not a top fancy sushi place, but that's what I want a lot of the time: a very good quality & quantity for the price sushi place. One I can enjoy the quality, be full by the end of it, & not break the bank, & Sozo fits the bill. Definitely split one of the larger plates/boats if you're with friends. SO GOOD. It was SO amazing, that even a shrimp hater myself could not resist their tempura. It melted in my mouth. Every piece they made was fresh & a work of art. My boyfriend & I like to go to sushi places as a date night & BY FAR this has been the best of the best. They played sweet Ghibli music in the background, & I swear their food tasted & looked better than what you see in the animation. Sozo Sushi in Montreal is a real treasure the quality & freshness of the sushi are second to none. Their nigiri is simply outstanding, & the shrimp tempura I had was crisp & delicious. The variety of sushi is unique & refreshing, making every visit a new experience. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, & professional. The sushi rolls, especially the special roll, were beautifully presented & tasted amazing. The creative & fun display added an extra touch to the dining experience. We took the 28 pieces sushi option for 2 people. It included Miso soup & Shrimp tempura. Food portion was generous. While more expensive, this sushi place is much better than the one right next to it. I would say it is fresher & higher quality. The nigiri sells by single piece which makes it a bit prohibitive. My only other comment is that the sushi pizzas do not come with a description in the menu, which surely can be fixed. The PFK roll packs a crunch!View more

This restaurant just offer sushi roll, no sashimi! It is well known that for sushi to be delicious, in addition to the ingredients, rice is also very important. Every step from selecting rice to cooking vinegar rice cannot be sloppy. The vinegar rice made with smaller special sushi rice has better stickiness & a slight sweetness. But here did not do that! The price-performance ratio is not high. The meal price is basically paid for the white rice, & there are too few other ingredients.View more

We've finally found a local sushi spot in Montreal that is actually good. Once we tried SoZu we haven't been able to bring ourselves to go back to our old local & haven't felt the need to keep looking for better options.
