We are fresh
Reviews for Souvlaki Bar describe generous portions, fresh and flavorful Greek inspired dishes, and friendly, attentive service that many find welcoming and efficient. Diners frequently highlight the meat shovels, souvlaki plates, gyro options, calamari, and large salads as standout options, with prices considered a solid value given portion sizes. The atmosphere is described as cozy and family friendly, though it can be busy on weekends and peak hours, leading to longer waits for certain courses or drinks. Takeout is praised as well, matching dine in quality for many, while a few comments note inconsistencies in flavor or texture, including a dry shaved meat, underseasoned dressing, and in one case overcooked chicken. A few diners also mentioned slow drink service but quick plate delivery once orders were placed, and a small cleanliness concern with high chairs. Overall Souvlaki Bar emerges as a reliable, satisfying option for hearty Greek meals with generous portions, strong service, and a lively vibe, with most experiences leaving diners planning a return visit.
We've only been twice for take out both times. Timing was good & food quality & quantity on the big mixed plate for 2. Everything in the mixed plate was yummy & fresh. Hope this place keeps it going this way. Going back soon for sure..
The plates are huge & the prices are reasonable. Hopefully my comments could help the chef in some way. We were 3 & all found that the rice was bland. The salad is very good, the pita bread was amazing & the fries are incredible (but the greek potatoes not so much). My dad had calamari, they were rubbery & both the sauces don't really fit flavor-wise. We waited 45 minutes for a pretty ordinary experience. Overall I would recommend but I would not go back as there was nothing memorable.
I try to pass by when I'm in the mood for simple Greek fare. Friendly service, consistently good food & huge portions. Staff are always accommodating & aim to please. No, it's not fancy, & it's part of a chain, but this location has always hit the mark. I love the calamari pita plate. It's actually better than some of the meals I had in Greece.
