Nous avons adoré le Sogen! Le service était rapide & les sushis étaient délicieux. La présentation des plats est très appréciée. Nous recommandons la spécialité Truffe Roll! Il est certain que nous y retournerons pour essayer d'autres spécialités.
Very bad experience with the table host. We reserved a table at 6pm. At least 4 tables available & she insisted we take a table that's dark & couldn't see anything. She tried to explain that our table can do 2 seating while the other one can't because the other one is reserved at 630pm? Made us stand there debating for a table.... It's a table omg! Anyways other than that, our waitress gave us the better table with more light. Her name was Yen & she made the evening a lot better. Service was great, staff was great at refills & the food had very nice presentation. Would come back & recommended.
Menu was all in French, English menu price was covered, not many pictures make me feel difficult to order, the food looks nice taste really good, nice place for people want to taste sushi, but not eat too much, unwinding hanging out nights.

Après 20 ans de loyaux services d'un autre resto sushis, on décide d'essayer Sogen pour mon anniversaire hier en pick up. À l'arrivée de mon conjoint, le gérant ou proprio "varge" dans la porte pour que l'employée vienne lui répondre. La commande est sur le comptoir devant lui. Les sushis sont mal roulés & le riz est sec. Dragon eye médiocres & la sauce aussi. J'ai l'impression qu'on me fabrique un plateau avec des restes de la veille & le dragon eye avec un vieux poisson qui sentait & pas frais. Jamais plus. Bon anniversaire 😉
The atmosphere is definitely the aspect that I loved the most when dining here. The spacious couches/ chairs & the good distance between the tables really makes you feel more comfortable & less cramped in the restaurant. The service was delightful, while maintaining her professionalism, the waitress was polite & friendly. I do feel like it did take quite a long time before we managed to order our food but the restaurant was quite busy so it is understandable. I really enjoyed their edamame soup. It'e such a innovative concept to me, I never a soup like this before but I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't really taste any edamame. But still, the soup was creamy & tasted great. As for the sashimi combo that I had, I really enjoyed the freshness of the fish & the size of the slices. The presentation was also magnificent. For 45$ the combo though, I do feel like the platter of sashimi was a bit underwhelming. The cuts were quite basic & even though I like the presentation, most of the stuff on it was not really adding anything to the flavours. The radish was also a bit bitter which made the overall less enjoyable. I would have loved to see some fancier ingredients such as fatty tuna or scallops, especially for the prices they charge for 16 pieces of sashimi.
