I eat sushi almost every 2 weeks so much I love it. I've eaten at tons of restaurants & Sogen is hands down the BEST on the south shore. Nothing beats the food there.

Belle expérience de façon générale. Toutefois, des prix ridiculement haut ne rendant pas justice à l'assiette.
Facture de $200 all-in pour 2 personnes (pas de dessert) :
Vin = $50 c'est très correct.
Assiette de ma conjointe = général Tao à prix très correct.
Moi maintenant...... j'ai demandé à à serveuse de me suggérer un certain accord entré/repas avec sushi. J'ai reçu tartare en entré & 8 morceaux de sushi (crabe/pétoncles) & 2 sashimi dans une coupe. Total de ma partie à moi seul = $75.
Le gout était très bien mais lorsque comparé à la facture, ca ne vaut pas.
Malheureusement, c'était ma dernière visite. Je trouve de meilleurs rendements qualité/prix à d'autres endroits.
Pour le dessert, service trop lent à cette étape. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps...

We've been clients to Sogen for the past 4 years. 2 weeks ago we went the food was not good & the waiter had an attitude. We thought it was not our lucky day but yesterday it was a next level.
1. The miso soup was cold - we asked for hot one but it came back cold (in less than a minute).
2. The sogen chicken (sweet & spicy), the sauce was cold that the meat was like a jelly.
3. We asked for 2 edmamae but served one only (we were charged for 1 only)
4. The tzatziki dish was super dirty, the waiter has to wipe the bottom of the plate 3 times.
5. The service was very slow, we wanted to order dessert but the waiter was busy & other 3 waiters kept getting in & out looking at the tables & didn't bother to check in.
Une magnifique découverte que ce restaurant. Les sushis sont tlmt frais, les spécialités sont tlmt beau & trop bons. Les plats sont originaux & les portions sont généreuses. Le service est impeccable.
Je recommande fortement.
I was there on Thursday with my wife. We ordered a couple different type of sushi's & a hot plate that came with rice. We both had food poisoning & woke up in the middle of the night with all the symptoms of food poisoning. I had to miss work on Friday because the symptoms were bad. I just recovered fully after 2 days.

The food is just fine, the avocado maki I ordered is not even fresh, it looked rotten. nothing special about it, though plating is nice. What I don't like is the attitude of the waitress. No smile at all, & she looked impatient so I got a bit scared of asking questions. I would not recommend it, & I will definitely not come back again. If you don't mind driving 10 more minutes, there are much more nicer Japanese restaurants in Brossard, delicious & unique, waiter & waitress are not giving you a grumpy face.
ma conjointe & moi sommes des habitués du resto & habituellemt nous réservons pour 17 H pour une meilleur service. Lors de notre derniere visite le maître d'hôte a oublié mes directives concernant la Fête de ma conjointe & ce malgré ma demande claire & aloors qu'il y avait peu de clients.M usique qui laisse a désirer. Le café est horrible & ne commandez jamais un cappucino. Ce resto devrait se procurer une machine a csppucino ou au moins faire du bon café.
Je n'y suis allée qu'une seule fois. La nourriture est excellente, le service excellent, quoique un peu lent, mais c'est peut-être dû aux plats commandés. Pour l'ambiance, certaines tables étaient très bruyantes, ce n'est pas la faute du restaurateur, plutôt celle de gens qui ne semblent pas sortir souvent.
