Six Pints - Académie de la bière is viewed as a convenient stop between flights with quick service that suits airport travelers; the burger is praised as the best in the city, but the service can feel rushed and come off rude.
$110 for two beef dip poutines, a chicken taco plate, & a beer might sound steep, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat! The food alone was worth every penny-portions were generous & absolutely delicious. I'm typically a Guinness girl, but their India Pale Ale surprised me with rich flavors that have me reconsidering my future choices.
?Yes, it carries that classic airport'nowhere else to go' surcharge, but the quality completely justifies the price tag. To top it off, the staff is fully bilingual, incredibly friendly, & highly efficient.

I am writing regarding a disappointing experience I had last Friday at your Montréal-Trudeau Airport location.
I had already spent approximately $60 on food & drinks at the restaurant & had finished my meal. Since the Montréal Canadiens game was on & I could not see the TV from my original table, I moved to sit at the bar to watch the game while waiting at the airport.
A bartender then told me I could not sit at the bar without purchasing another drink, despite the fact that I had already spent a significant amount at the restaurant moments earlier. When I questioned the policy & said it seemed unreasonable, I was threatened with being removed from the bar area. Eventually, another customer kindly offered to share his beer with me so I would be allowed to remain seated.
After that interaction, the bartender continued staring at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable & unwelcome. What should have been a relaxed airport experience became unnecessarily unpleasant.
I understand businesses have policies, but I felt the situation was handled very poorly, especially considering I had already been a paying customer. I wanted to bring this to your attention because the service & attitude I experienced did not reflect the level of hospitality I would expect.
My boyfriend & I had the classic poutine & were surprised at how good it was. This poutine hit different & we still talk about it. When we try poutine from somewhere else, we say it's good but it doesn't beat the one from the airport😂
Had the breakfast poutine, excellent food with great service. Definitely recommend trying it out, will try again next time I pass through Montréal airport .
