Belle expérience cette semaine au Siam du Centre-Ville.
L'atmosphère légèrement tamisée de la salle du bas était très agréable.
J'ai apprécié qu'on m'ait accommodée pour m'asseoir à notre table un peu plus tôt. Nous avions une réservation pour 18h15 le mercredi mais quand je suis arrivée à 17:50, notre table était déjà prête & notre serveur Davinder a pu m'y asseoir.
Niveau menu, on retrouve pas mal de classiques Thaï avec de belles options vegan également. J'avais opté pour les excellents dumpling au poulet sauce arachide & le pad Thaï au poulet dont la portion était bien généreuse (la photo ne lui rend pas justice). Attention juste, le menu ne l'indique pas mais j'ai trouvé la sauce des dumplings légèrement épicée. Je ne la recommanderai pas pour des personnes sensibles aux épices ou des enfants. Ça vaudrait peut-être un piment ou 1/2 piment sur le menu.
Mention spéciale pour le mango sticky rice cocktail, doux & délicieusement fruité.
En dessert nous avons opté pour un classique moelleux au chocolat avec sorbet coco. Rien d'exceptionnel mais c'était tout de même très correct.
Gros bonus pour le service exceptionnel de notre serveur Davinder qui a été souriant & aux petits soins du début à la fin. Il a vraiment égayé notre soirée & contribué à rendre notre expérience mémorable.
Nous venions initialement pour la bouffe & le décor mais nous reviendrons très certainement pour la qualité du service & belle atmosphère du lieu.

This experience was amazing! Our server (Chloe) was magnificent! She was attentive, kind & knowledgeable. The food was tasty & filled with flavours. I would definitely come back & recommend everyone I know to try this restaurant!!
Oliver gave us 5 star service, the tasting menu was BOMB. Highly Recommend for groups! Amazing, the Pad Thai noodles are on point & reminded me of the ones I had in Thailand. Music should be a touch louder.

Olivier (notre serveur) a su combler notre faim avec des recommandations plus bonnes les unes que les autres, service soigné & chaleureux sans parler de son sens de l'humour qui a su nous charmer dès notre arrivée. Un serveur de profession de toute évidence. Magnifique ambiance, cocktails signatures absolument délicieux qui offre une balance parfaite avec leurs choix de repas plus que divin pour nos papilles.
Le Siam peut être assuré de notre retour, car nous y reviendrons régulièrement SURTOUT si Olivier s'occupe de notre tablé : merci encore!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Siam Centre-Ville recently. Our dishes: cocounut shrimp skewers, fried duck wontons, & pad kra pao moo, were so flavourful, fresh tasting & delicious! Our server Rosemarie was friendly, kind, professional, & attentive. The restaurant's ambiance was warm & welcoming. Would definitely return. Highly recommended!

Pour ceux qui ont déjà vécu les House events à Miami, vous savez ce que c'est : une ambiance électrisante, des rires, des saveurs, & cette sensation d'être exactement là où il faut être. Eh bien, c'est exactement ce que j'ai ressenti, assise sur la splendide terrasse du Siam. Le décor, l'énergie… tout nous transportait dans une soirée festive digne des plus belles découvertes.
Julia, notre ange gardien, nous accueille avec un sourire rassurant. Malgré que notre réservation à un délai de deux heures, elle nous promet qu'une solution sera trouvée.
& elle tient parole ! Grâce à elle, nous avons pu prolonger le plaisir!
Kolia, notre serveur passionné, nous présente le menu avec une telle passion qu'on aurait cru qu'il en était le chef ! Chaque plat semblait être une oeuvre d'art culinaire. Impossible de choisir tant tout semblait délicieux. Son service ? Un parfait mélange de professionnalisme, de chaleur humaine & d'humour bien dosé. & notre repas était effectivement exquis!
& puis… le clou du spectacle : Channing Tatum du Siam ! Oui, vous avez bien lu. Ce maître de l'ambiance sait comment faire vibrer la salle. Il veille à ce que nos verres soient toujours pleins & nos sourires aussi. Un vrai showman ! Merci, vraiment inoubliable !
Un mot spécial pour Claude, le manager, qui incarne à merveille la philosophie du lieu : le bien-être de l'équipe avant tout. & ça se ressent. Une équipe heureuse, c'est une expérience client exceptionnelle. Bravo!
Cette soirée, partagée avec deux amies chères, a été choisie grâce aux avis Google. & franchement ? C'était un coup de maître.

We had a wonderful evening at Siam Restaurant Centre ville last Saturday night, despite it being absolutely packed & the rain! Our server Daniella was an absolute gem - her cheerful demeanor & constant smile made our family dinner truly special.
What impressed us most was how gracefully she handled the busy Saturday night rush while still giving our table personalized attention. Even with a bustling restaurant, Daniella never seemed frazzled & maintained her warm, welcoming attitude throughout the evening.
The highlight of our night was when Daniella surprised us by singing'Happy Birthday' - her enthusiasm was infectious! My 3-year-old nephew was absolutely delighted, turning what was already a great meal into an unforgettable family memory.
The authentic Thai cuisine was delicious, but it's servers like Daniella who truly make Siam Restaurant stand out in Montreal. Her professionalism combined with genuine warmth made us feel valued & well-cared for.
We'll definitely be back & hope to have Daniella as our server again. Highly recommend Siam Restaurant for families - they know how to make everyone feel welcome!
I dined at Siam to celebrate my 23rd birthday & I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself! From the service to the overall ambience, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for great Thai food with a modern twist. My green curry was really good &, the service was five stars. I had an amazing server (Fanny) & she served my big group of 10 people flawlessly. She was super sweet & very accommodating! Near the end, another server also came & upped my experience even more with his overall great personality & fun vibes (shoutout Olivier)! Thank you Siam for the amazing balance between a great restaurant experience, & a fun time! I've eaten at this restaurant twice already & will definitely be coming back. 🥂

Nous avons été manger pour la 1er fois à ce restaurant car nous séjournions à l'hôtel Crystal. WoW ce fut un coup de coeur!! Le serveur Kolya était souriant, sympathique & nous a recommandé le boeuf panang… mais quel délice!!! Juste assez épicé & fond dans la bouche. De plus l'équipe que forma ait notre serveur Kolya avec la chef de table Marilie était superbe! Marilie aussi souriante & serviable que sont collègue! Bravo nous y retournerons c'est certain!
This is a MUST try restaurant in Montreal !! Everything is top notch from service to the food to the staff especially I wanna give a big shoutout to Julianne for making my birthday night special by surprising with a delicious dessert at the end !! I recommend 100% 5 star service
I've been to Siam about four or five times now, & overall, I would say it's a solid, well-rounded restaurant. The space itself is elegant without being over the top. You can tell the restaurant is aiming for that more elevated dining experience, & in most ways, it succeeds.
Let's start with what keeps me coming back: the table d'hôte. It's kind of their signature offering, a generous spread of five to six starters, two mains, rice, & either tea or coffee to wrap up for 90$. It's a great format if you want to explore the menu in one sitting. You get variety, consistency, & good value for what you receive.
The appetizers are solid across the board. From crispy spring rolls & chicken satay to those coconut shrimp skewers & dumplings, everything comes out fresh, well plated, & balanced in flavour. The sauces are well thought out, sweet chili, peanut, nuoc cham, & the mango salad adds that much-needed crunch & acidity. It's not reinventing anything, but it's all well executed.
The real star, though & I don't say this lightly is the beef red curry! It's phenomenal. The beef is so tender it literally melts in your mouth, like butter on a hot skillet. The curry itself is rich, velvety, & full of depth. You get layers of flavour: creamy coconut, a punch of chili heat, those unmistakable notes of lemongrass & kaffir lime, all balanced in a way that hits the palate just right. I've had it every single time I've gone, & it's one of the few dishes I'd actually describe as addictive.
Now... the less exciting part. The table d'hôte hasn't changed in at least three years. Same starters, same mains, same everything. & while it's comforting to know what to expect, I do think the menu could benefit from a bit of seasonal rotation or at least one or two new additions. For a place that positions itself on the higher end, a little evolution would go a long way. When I go out for this kind of dining experience, part of the joy is in discovering new things... & right now, that's missing.
That's where the five-star rating drops a bit for me. It's not the quality, that's there. It's the lack of freshness in the offering over time.
The drink menu is solid but leans expensive. Cocktails are well made & beautifully presented, tropical, often layered with Thai flavours like basil, ginger, or mango, but again, it adds up quickly, especially if you're doing the full menu.
Service is generally great, professional & warm, & the pace is well managed. You can feel the intention of offering a more refined experience. That said, I did have one visit that really missed the mark. One of the mains came out bland, which was a shock given how flavourful the food usually is. The dish was genuinely disappointing, & unfortunately, the staff didn't acknowledge it or offer anything to make up for it, which, to be honest, was a bit of a letdown at this price point. But in fairness, it was a one-time thing out of several great meals.
Most recently, I brought my partner, who's from Asia & usually quite tough to impress when it comes to Southeast Asian cuisine. He was genuinely impressed, with the flavours, the attention to detail, & the plating. That reaction alone gave me some reassurance that despite the stagnant menu, the core quality is still there.
So yes, Siam is still a place I would recommend. The dishes are consistent, visually beautiful, & generally packed with flavour. It's just time for the menu to get the same kind of attention the plating & ambiance already do.
