Review Summary

Shokutsuki is described as a cozy, cute Japanese spot with a small but varied menu including donburi, poke bowls, curry, poutine and burgers, offering tasty, well presented dishes with satisfying portions at fair prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with friendly service and a sense of discovering a local hidden gem, making it suitable for friends, family or solo visits and even a late night bite. While many diners praise authentic flavors and good value, a few notes mention occasional inconsistencies such as curry or poutine arriving cold, sauces that feel microwaved, or fried items being greasy, though these do not appear to be universal. Overall, the consensus is positive, with guests returning for flavorful food, approachable pricing, and attentive service.

The food was delicious, we took the chicken curry & spicy salmon bowl & both were very generous & tasty (especially the curry!). The prices were fair & the service was great & quick. We will definitely come back to try more!

Cute little restaurant. They have donburi, poke bowls, curry, poutine & burger. The food was filling & tasty. The place gets a bit crowded at lunchtime because there is a school across the street.

Unagi poke bowl needed more eel & sauce for that volume, like it felt more like a dry salad. Onigiri were good but typical. Snowflake cookies were bite sized but good, reminded me of mini rice crispy squares & come in a cute bag, perfect as a gift, homemade dessert was a matcha mousse which was kind of underwhelming for that price & the fact that you can't chose which dessert you get.
