Sésame offers a concept unique in its kind: an out of the ordinary variety of high quality Asian dishes to enjoy in a warm atmosphere.
From the Pad Thai to the General Tao poutine, or one of the various wok sautées, you can eat your meal on site or take it to go.
Additionally, Sésame offers a wide selection of loose teas, several privately imported wines, beers on tap, a wide selection of sake, but especially, a menu of exclusive Sésame cocktails.

Overall, our experience was great at Sésame! The service was a bit slow (we needed to be out for the concert & were rushing at the end) but the restaurant was full due to it being a concert night. The drinks were either really big or super small for the same price. The wonton soup wasn't our favourite (too many items inside other than the wontons), but we loved the shrimp pad sew & dumplings platter. It would've been good to have more guidance from the waitress on what to order & how it worked.View more

**Restaurant Review for Sesame** Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I typically don't write restaurant reviews, but my recent experience at Sesame compelled me to share my thoughts. While there were some positive aspects, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Let's start with the positives: the decor & ambiance were inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a meal. Additionally, the cocktails were enjoyable & well-crafted, setting a nice tone for the evening. However, things took a downturn once we placed our food orders. The service was noticeably slow, my entrée had been sitting in the kitchen for far too long before it finally arrived- obviously arriving cold. Fortunately, our waitress was accommodating & quickly replaced it for me. Unfortunately, the soup didn't impress, lacking the depth of flavor, as did the won-ton soup ordered by the others in the group. As for the other dishes, the pad Thai was quite basic & could use significant improvement. The dumplings were underwhelming, reminiscent of those found in the frozen section of the grocery store. On a brighter note, my husband ordered the General tao chicken & enjoyed it :) We decided to try the key lime pie for dessert, but it was lacking of the bright lime flavor one would expect. To add to the frustration, our waitress struggled to sort out the bills for our group, which took an astonishing 40 minutes. To make matters worse, one couple was overcharged, & there was no apology offered for the inconvenience. I had high hopes for Sesame, anticipating a delightful Asian dining experience. Unfortunately, it seems this restaurant has some significant areas to improve. Hopefully they can address these issues, as the potential is certainly there.View more

Delicious food. Our table had meal sized wonton soup, pad Thai, pad sew, & chicken dumplings. Dessert we had molten lava cake, mango sorbet, key lime pie. All good, served hot, friendly service. Would definitely recommend.View more

Souper avant un spectacle à la place Bell. En 1h30 tout était fait & sans stress. Nous y sommes allés par hasard & ce fut une agréable découverte. Tous les plats commandés étaient très bons. Sauce général Tao classique un peu trop sucrée à notre goût, mais celle à l'orange juste parfaite. Les dumplings en entrée aussi étaient bons. Essayez les deux sauces: Vinaigre noir & arachides. Les prix sont raisonnables pour la quantité! Nous y retournerons.View more

Troisième visite chez Sésame mais première à Laval, Place Montmorency. Nous n'avons pas été déçues entre copines pour dîner sur la belle terrasse. Service très attentionné, la jeune serveuse a été très patiente avec mes demandes spéciales de changement de choix de plat en passant par l'aménagement de places sur la terrasse. La nourriture comme toujours est excellente. Les dumplings sauce arachides, excellents. Le tartare saumon & ses frites tout aussi bons. Les copines ont toutes aimé leur plat. Bref, on y retourne absolument! Mais ne vous garez pas à la Place Bell à $30, une vraie arnaque; allez plutôt au stationnement public sur Corbusier à $10 & parfois gratuit comme hier!View more

Le restaurant est très beau & la majorité du personnel accueillant. Par contre, ce n'est pas professionnel de chuchoter des choses sur les clients en face d'eux. Le prix des repas est exagéré à mon avis. 4 dumplings pour 2 personnes avec un goût fade. Le menu pour 2 personnes à 44$ chaque personne est supposé représenter le meilleur de leur repas, mais le goût n'y était pas. La nourriture de vue à l'air super, mais c'est en fait décevant lorsque tu prend une bouchée. Je ne recommande pas, je n'y retournerais pas.View more

via LibroI enjoyed very much the won ton soup & the chicken wok, I found the entree of peanut butter dumplings the sauce is too thick, I enjoy more sauce that is less thick andea little spicy, but that's my personal opinion, I will hopefully return one day, thank you

Walking in, loved the atmosphere. The layout is nice & when we went the place was pretty much empty. Food was a meh. Ordered veg dumplings which were good but over priced for 4 pieces. Teriyaki rice with tofu was my favourite considering our other main dish- pad sew was a disappointment. I had ordered the pad sew without egg & was served it with egg. Had i been allergic, it would've been a huge issue. I was then told the kitchen had closed the wok station. 15 mins later was told they'll make a new pad sew for me. Very very bland. Felt rushed. The service was VERY slow considering the restaurant was empty. Servers walked around without making eye contact or responding to calls for them. I only gave them 2 stars for service because they offered to open the kitchen for me but overall was a disappointment for the price. Edit- I had brought the pad sew home. All it needed was some more garlic, ginger, onion & salt to elevate the dish.View more
