Sabaidee ! Bienvenue à Sep Lai ! Nous servons de la nourriture traditionnelle laotienne en utilisant de nombreux ingrédients locaux pour créer des plats uniques et authentiques. Comme c'est la norme au Laos, tous nos plats sont faits pour être partagés ! Bien que vous puissiez trouver des similitudes avec d'autres plats d'Asie du Sud-Est tels que les plats thaïlandais ou vietnamiens, la cuisine laotienne est une cuisine distincte avec ses propres saveurs complexes et excitantes. Pleine d'herbes fraîches, de légumes crus, de viandes savoureuses et toujours accompagnée d'un panier de riz gluant, nous sommes fiers de partager cette cuisine avec tout le monde, y compris les végétaliens, les végétariens et les personnes sensibles au gluten ! Nous espérons que les plats de nos parents et de nos grands-parents vous inspireront le même réconfort et la même joie qu'à nous, et que vous vous exclamerez : "Sep lai ! C'était délicieux !"

Unassuming & deceptively large BYOB Laotian restaurant definitely delivers! Must try-dishes: Nem Khao, pork Sai Qua meatballs & crispy chicken skin Nang Kai Tod. The dishes were large enough to be shareable. We were stuffed by dessert rolled around! For dessert, the pandan creme brulée was light, creamy & delicious! Would definitely return & take advantage of the backyard terrasse before summer's end! If you happen to forget your wine like we did, there is a lovely beer & wine store across the street from the restaurant on rue Charlevoix (Beau Dégât, bièrerie de quartier) that offered great wine pairings with our meal.Voir plus

Small Laotian restaurant with an amazing terrace, perfect for warm summer evenings. The food is delicious & the atmosphere is truly pleasant. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but the staff is so friendly that it's well worth the wait. A great spot I highly recommend.Voir plus

La terrasse est magnifique & bien isolée du bruit de la rue, proprio hyper sympathique elle fait de belles suggestions pour nos choix sur le menu, la bouffe est excellente, un apportez votre vin en plus, bien situé & accessible (Métro, auto, marche, Bixi), pas ma première fois & certainement pas la dernière. Le menu n''est ni trop gros ni trop petit & c'est facile de faire des ajouts. Gros, gros, GROS coup de coeur pour les crevettes géantes & leur beurre !!Voir plus

The food was great, & the back patio had a great vibe, but unfortunately the service was genuinely terrible. It took over at hour for some of our food to come out, & the server rarely checked in with us! Please improve on this because the restaurant has so much potential!!Voir plus

The place is beautiful, the first taste of the food was delicious lots of flavours however the food was extremely salty to the point that I couldn't eat most of it. I ordered 4 different dishes, each had its unique taste but the amount of salt spoiled the experience. Once we got the food the waitress never came back to ask how we were, so we didn't get a chance to tell her about it. We ordered 4 meals 1 was not salty, the second one was salty but we were able to eat it because of the mixture of the vegetables but the other 2 none of us could eat.Voir plus

This is our go-to place in PSC for a nice terrasse with good food. We had some of their salads (papaya & mango) as it was a hot hot day & it was refreshing. The skewers are to die for & a must! Their spring rolls were also delicious & very generous in portions. Definitely recommend for a summer eat with a quiet terrasse at the back. It is also bring your own wine!Voir plus

Quelle belle soirée avons-nous passée pour notre première fois chez Sep Lai! Le service a été attentionné, chaleureux & sympathique, les plats sont arrivés dans un délai tout à fait raisonnable malgré un achalandage hors du commun en ce mardi, & tout était savoureux & raffiné. Une très belle découverte.

I was really excited to try Sep Lai for my first taste of Laotian food-& while the food itself was delicious, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
We waited over an hour to place our order, even after telling the waitress multiple times that we were ready. When the food finally started arriving, it came in waves-so people at our table were eating at totally different times. Some were still waiting while others had already finished, which made things pretty awkward.
I had the dried meat with a super tasty sauce, the chicken spring roll, & the soup. All of it was genuinely delicious, & I was very happily surprised.
The biggest downside: we were seated on the back terrace, right next to a pile of garbage that smelled strongly of dead fish & cat litter. It was disgusting. We had to step away several times because the stench was unbearable. That really ruined the vibe.

Excellent experience at Sep Lai. We were 3 & ordered 4 dishes & they were good potion. All of them were very good & nicely presented. The waitress was nice & friendly & we loved the terrace. It is really great to be able to bring our own wine or beer. I will go back.Voir plus

Assez déçu ce soir de l'ensemble du restaurant mais plus particulièrement de la serveuse qui ne fait guère d'effort pour être sympathique. Service très ordinaire. Great neighborhood treasure ...creative, delicious Laotian cuisine. Dinner last night was so good I thanked the chef. Everything she prepared was delicious & fresh, with great combinations of flavors. The tapioca & taro pudding with coconut cream & black sesame seeds is one of the best desserts I've ever had.
