sushi(18) grill(17) bbq(15) tip(15) korean(13) viande(11) groupe(11) all you can eat(10) dessert(10) to go(9)SO SHOCKED that there is a longggggg line at this place during the weekends. This place is DISGUSTING!!!! WOW. I am Korean & been to a whole load of Korean BBQ restaurants & I can tell you that this MOST DEFINITELY IS NOT KOREAN BBQ. Just because the restaurant name has the word "SEOUL" in it & they claim that they have an all you can eat Korean BBQ does not make this a real authentic Korean BBQ. This is just false advertising & they are scammers. First of all, the meat that they serve you are some VERY CHEAP meats, which is why its all you can eat at $36.99 per person. The meat was some cheap red meat that you buy at the corner grocery store. The chicken was old & gross. I've ordered other dishes on the menu. The sushi rolls were most definitely made ahead of time & left out for a while because it was so DRY & falling apart because the rice was so dry. The chicken rolls were a disgrace & they definitely used some old chicken. I ordered vegetable noodles, absolutely horrendous. It was basically hot water mixed with teriyaki sauce. The restaurant itself was so dirty & utensils were not cleaned properly. The waiters were clearly sad & miserable because the service was sh*t. I hope people will read this review & AVOID wasting their money at this place because it is a true SHAME they claim this is a Korean BBQ place. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!!!!!!!!!
I've tried many different Korean BBQS. This one is probably in the less good range. Its not bad exactly but its abit bland. The marinade for the meats was all pretty similar. The quality of the meat was good though. The sushi was pretty good. The one thing that stood out form the other Korean BBQS are the takoyakis. I've never seen them in another AYCE place. That was a nice surprise although they but ketchup on them which was really weird. Appart from that the service was acceptable & relatively quick. Honestly Sota right across the street is much better.
Sophia
If you want to try this restaurant, I advise you to make a reservation (via phone). We went there on Mother's Day & there was a long line. (Good thing we already made reservations). It's my first time to eat at this place & I thought, the food must really be good for these people to patiently wait (& the wait can be pretty long for an "all you can eat" bbq place). 1. Service - very good... the server attended to our needs (replacing the grill, asking if we need anything more); always in a "happy" mood; fast & efficient 2. Ambiance - okay; we were seated in a "less traffic" area because we were 8 (they had a separate corner for bigger groups); expect to be charged automatically for services - 15% 3. Food - BBQ: loved the fish & squid (plus they're easier to cook on the grill); we also had beef, chicken, pork - they're pre-marinated & they all taste good, some may be on the salty side but it's okay; there's also zucchini, onions & bell peppers SUSHI, all good, talk about variety.... Since we were 8 in the group we decided to write on 2 order sheets, bad idea... one set of the order did not come to our table but we did not make a fuss about it since it's easy to write another (It's an all you can eat deal). 4. PRICE - we ate at lunch time so it's cheaper than what they charge for dinner; so it's really up to you, if you want salmon, mussels, shrimp, etc. included in your menu (dinner) you got to pay more (but it will be worth it). My family enjoyed the food & service that my husband had to give extra tip. 5. Remember this rule, SEPARATE THE UTENSIL YOU USE FOR THE RAW MEAT & FOR THE COOKED FOOD/ VEGGIES. It's what we call in the food industry as preventing cross-contamination. Don't blame the establishment if you get a tummy ache because of neglecting this. The restaurant provides you with two kitchen tongs. Use them wisely :D ENJOY... HAPPY EATING!
The food here is not bad, I enjoy the fact that we can do our own BBQ.I recommend to go with a group of no more than 4 ppl, if not it will take forever to get a piece of meat in ur mouth. Only one grilling stove for a table of 4! Good selections of food. But dun bring ur Canada Goose there or else ur Goose will smell like Chako.
In general, the place is quite nice & fun. Around 2-8 people is the ideal number, larger then this, it is hard to get a table together. Even at 6, they usually give a table with only 1 burner which takes a while to cook. I like the ambiance. It's a BBQ & you order on your own. The portions are small so it is easy to control how much you eat & not over order. Lots of variety of meat. The downside is sometimes they don't change where you cook the food so it becomes all black & burnt. I went here many times & the service really changes depending on who you get. I'd recommend this place for people who like to have fun & take their time to cook & enjoy.
