Ce restaurant va vite devenir une habitude avec mes amis ! Atmosphere relaxante, décoration bien pensée, service excellent, très attentionné mais discret, c'est pro. Pour la nourriture, petite carte bien travaillée, portions généreuses & très goûtu ! On peut facilement partager ! Mention spéciale pour le boeuf cote courte, tout simplement fondant … Bref allez y, vous regretterez pas !!
The food is delicious. Service is amazing! A highlight of the cocktail, was very surprisingly refreshing & super tasty! A delightful experience😊 Will definitely come back!
J'ai goûté à leurs sandwichs au poulet ainsi que celui à la mortadelle. Les deux étaient excellents mais j'ai un grand penchant pour celui à la mortadelle. Je suis une grande fan de sandwich sur pain focaccia & ils étaient délicieux!!!
So far the portions are lacking. Got the whipped ricotta & it only came with 4 pieces of fried pasta (the good part).

Edit: the main was amazing! I had the rigatoni with beef ragu, & it was so good. The beef was in slightly too big of pieces, but was incredible in flavour.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de dîner dans ce restaurant italien raffiné, & l'expérience fut tout simplement exceptionnelle. Les plats étaient généreux, savoureux & préparés avec une maîtrise qui témoigne d'un véritable amour de la cuisine.
Le service mérite une mention spéciale : courtois, attentionné & toujours à l'écoute. L'équipe connaissait parfaitement le menu & nous a proposé, avec enthousiasme, des façons de partager les plats entre nous. Une attention qui a rendu le repas encore plus convivial. Chaque bouchée nous a rappelé de nombreux souvenirs de voyage, qui en conclusion a mené à décider d'un voyage à Bologne & Parme.
Ce qui nous a particulièrement touchés, c'est l'atmosphère chaleureuse & accueillante. Même après que le service fut terminé, on nous a laissé discuter tranquillement, sans aucune pression. On se sentait véritablement les bienvenus, comme chez des amis.
Nous étions quatre, & chacun est reparti conquis. Une adresse à retenir pour les amateurs de cuisine italienne authentique, servie avec générosité & coeur.
Had a great time yesterday at Sauce. This was our first visit & it won't be the last. We came early around 7 pm & the heartwarming staff was very helpfull in explaining the dishes & story behind this place felt very welcomed & it was joyfull to have the Lobster ravioli & beef rib. Bravo bonne continuité
It was such a great evening that I couldn't wait to leave the table to write the review. .Duncan & Tarik were amazing. They made us feel so welcome.Service was exceptional.The food was outstanding, loved everything we had!!!! Forgot to order the focaccia so had it for dessert.We'll be back for sure! This is a great find. Added bonus is the parking lot behind the restaurant.
An absolute delight to have discovered this Restaurant! From the greeting upon entry to the seating at the outside terrace the tone of evening delight was set. For this the Chef & his Wait Staff Team did not disappoint! & for the Star of'THE SHOW', yes Natalya we will get to your singing shortly :)..'THE FOOD'! For starters the Fluffy Focaccia with plentiful whipped & seasoned butter & balsamic - olive oil delight was a treat when married to the Whipped Ricotta plate (endives, fried pasta & fig marmalade) ='MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN'! Now for the main dish; the Demi Rigatoni was both delicious & plentiful! The beef ragu was definitely not of the overnight variety for it had a richness & hint of sweetness which balanced well with the oyster mushrooms & the perfect al dente Pasta Rigatoni. Now for the Master of singing, Natalya...yes she has a Masters in Opera! She delighted the terrace crowd with her beautiful voice, her presence ever so thoughtful & considerate taking the time in conversation for my friend & I. In summary...dining experience extraordinaire! **********

Wow. Just wow. Sauce Buvette Du Quartier is hands down one of the BEST restaurants in Montreal. The calamari? Freshest I've ever had. The lobster ravioli with shrimp & squid? Unreal (& yes, all made from scratch!). & don't even get me started on the chocolate mousse - I'm a total mousse addict & this was literally the best of my life.
The vibe here is amazing - cozy, lively, & you instantly feel like family. Duncan & Julian take care of everything, & if you're lucky, you'll even get a live operatic song from Natalya (goosebumps!). Chef Dominic is a genius - you'll be dreaming about his food long after you leave.
Seriously, if you live in Montreal or are just visiting, put this place at the TOP of your list. You'll thank me later.
This is seriously a hidden gem. We sat outside on a warm summer night & felt like we were in Italy. Duncan & Natalia were fantastic, attentive & very down to earth. Will come back & recommend this place to everyone coming this way.
