About

Satay Brothers delivers authentic Southeast Asian street food through a robust menu focused on charcoal-grilled skewers and traditional Singaporean staples. The kitchen specializes in authentic satay, serving succulent meat seasoned with complex spice blends alongside a signature house-made peanut sauce. Patrons experience bold flavor profiles integrated with aromatic herbs and fermented condiments that define the regional fusion identity. Buns and rice bowls feature textures ranging from crispy to tender, highlighting a commitment to time-honored preparation techniques. The setting emphasizes a functional, high-energy atmosphere characterized by the constant activity of a busy open-fire grill. This establishment maintains a disciplined approach to consistency, ensuring each plate reflects the vibrant essence of authentic hawker cuisine without unnecessary embellishment or deviation from its core culinary roots.

Review Summary

Satay Brothers is a popular outdoor destination at the Atwater Market, widely praised for its vibrant atmosphere and authentic, flavorful dishes like the laksa soup, satay skewers, and papaya salad. Many diners enjoy the quick service and the unique street food experience, though some customers note that portions can feel small relative to the price. While the vast majority of visitors find the food delicious and the staff welcoming, opinions on the authenticity of certain dishes vary. Overall, it is considered a must-visit spot for those looking for tasty meals in a lively, casual setting.

Great food in a wonderful setting. I appreciate them going above & beyond to bring the food to you. I ordered the pork'burger' special. The flavour was phenomenal, loved the kefir lime in it. Only complaints is it could use more vegetables or filling as the French roll to filling ratio wasn't balanced. Even some shredded greens/ cabbage or more cucumber would be appreciated, & slightly longer patty so you get some in every bite. I would highly recommend this place.

$20 for a small plate of char kuay teow. It was delicious but not like CKT from Malaysia/Singapore. Also lacking wok-hei. GTA has authentic CKT at larger portions & at less than $15.

If you are looking for a great Asian's food, don't try their LAKSA SOUP WITH CHICKEN, the taste is not authentic, the dish is overpriced, & the quality of the dish does not fill you. The steam bun is ok, but again, overpriced & so little. My wife eat the Laksa Chicken Soup, she got food poisoned & vomiting.
