Review Summary

Overall, the reviews praise Satay Brothers as a standout at Atwater Market, with a remarkable laksa, flavorful satays, and a lively, efficient service that makes the atmosphere feel welcoming; the menu is noted for fresh ingredients and satisfying bowls, noodles and sandwiches, and many say the experience is worth a visit and would return to explore more items, including the pork burger special and the papaya salad; a few comments point to high prices for the portion sizes, a laksa chicken soup that some felt was not authentic or overpriced, and one report of a negative health incident; the outdoor market setting enhances the quick, casual vibe.

A street food style place that provides quick & delicious food, & even a cold beer on a hot summer day.
The Chicken Satays skewers are bursting in flabour, it's tender, well marinated & grilled to perfection.
The sandwich of the day was a pork chop sandwich. It looks sloppy but super tasty.
They has a short selection of draft beers but any of them will cool you down on a hot summer day.
This is a perfect stop during your shopping at Atwater market.

The papaya salad is a must! The tempeh was SO good on top! It’s sour & sweet & crunchy & minty & delicious!
The bao bun was also good, but I just don’t love super fatty meats. It’s also a bit overpriced, in my opinion (almost $10).
They’re very quick, & have a decent amount of options on the menu.
Super awesome spot.
Only open in the summer.

I saw a picture of their signature soup on one of my friends fb page & it looked very appetizing so I gave it a try.
I had this type of soup before at another restaurant & the combination of coconut milk & spiciness seduced me. That soup was good but the Laks Lemak at the Satay Brothers so sooo much better! They asked me if I wanted it spicy & I said yes. Will not do that again. :-) The broth is so creamy & deliciously oily with flavors of smoked coconut through out. Even though I wasn't hungry when I left I would have liked the bowl to be a bit more full. Also the noodles were surprisingly short which made eating them a bit difficult (but I'm not good with chopsticks to start with).
I will definitely go back to try some of their other specialties. The communal tables outdoors but under a big tent are also great on a hot summer day.
