ORIGINS OF SANTOS All the streets in Old Montreal are named after saints. Located on the corner of Saint Paul and Saint François Xavier and given that the food served is Spanish, it was only natural to name place "Saints" in Spanish.

I cant recommend a non ethical place. So I went there last night & I cant recommends this group. I had a reservation for 7 & when my friends & I got to the door it's only at that time bouncers tells us a bottle is mandatory (like wow) & he knows it's cold outside it's not easy to change ideas. My problem is that this should have been mentioned with every reservation then, it shouldn't be a surprise & it looks more like a non ethical trick used by owners or managers. However the ambiance is ok, there are many ladies during ladies night if you are looking for that. Food is kinda boring though
They wouldn't let us in unless we got bottle service & we ended being charged $600. We tried to get the cheapest bottles they had, which the waitress said they were out of & she proceeded to get 2 of the more expensive bottles. Ended up costing us $600 at the end of the night. Not sure if it was worth it.
Good luck trying to get a table, when you do, keep in mind that at 10pm the kitchen closes, & at 11 pm the waiter/waitress will come & kick you off your seats because the they want to remove the chairs from the whole bar & the table you tried reserving will not be yours anymore it will be for anyone who orders a bottle, & you my friend with a drink in your hand will have to find another place to put your drink through out the evening.
Overpriced food & drinks for such little quantity. I do not recommend the food here or drinks at all. Also DJ won't take any recommendations at all :/. Other then that nice place overall!

Belle ambiance mais Sergio est très austère il n'avait pas vraiment l'aire d'avoir envie de nous servir.. malheureusement nous n'y retournerons pas à cause de cela...
Service was slow at times, however all the staff were very nice. We tried almost every item from the Mtl à Table menu. Salmon tartare lacked flavour, but all other dishes were good. Shrimp tacos were excellent. Brownie & cheesecake were tasty.
Went for happy hour with some friends & all was ok until I found a blob of black mold floating in my water glass. I then realized the entire glass was filthy. I told the bartender who gave me another drink but by that point I was terrified to put my lips on anything. The happy hour prices weren't a good deal either. Overall this place has cool vibes but that dirty glass really put a damper on the entire experience.

On a eu un service incroyable. J'avais marqué dans la réservation qu'on fêtait nos 7 ans d'amour & il nous on réservé une table à part dans un coin tranquille, offert des coupes de champagne 🥂. L'équipe était WoW, serveuse super souriante, & tout l'équipe aussi. Ils nous ont servi & desservi à des vitesse parfaite. Jamais manqué de quoi que se soit. Merci beaucoup.
Nourriture très bonne, mais les 5 étoiles vont au service qui était exceptionnel !! Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Ils travaillent en équipe pour s'assurer que tout se passe parfaitement. Nous soulignions nos 7 ans de vie commune & le restaurant nous a réservé une table à l'écart en plus de nous accueillir avec une coupe! Une belle attention très appréciée.

Happy hour: well drinks, a wine & some beers; but for the well drinks aka speed rails, everyone has to get the same one. I don't know if it is a Canadian thing but it's little rules like this which make this place have a bad rating. Trying to be too cheap. If you hang a big sign that says happy hour then make it as friendly as possible so people come back!
Service was great but food wasn't on par. Chewy calamari, over cooked shrimp & almost all dishes needed seasoning. Our waitress was fantastic. I would recommend Santos as a drink & dance destination only
