One of my favorite ramen spots in Montreal Sansotei Ramen stands out with its flavorful options & cozy atmosphere.
I ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen, which came with chashu (charred pork), wood ear mushrooms, soft-boiled egg & a black garlic oil that added an incredible aroma & depth of flavor - 10/10.
I also tried the Black Miso Ramen, which had a bold miso & mushroom profile. It's a bit thicker & saltier, perfect if you prefer a strong, hearty broth, with tender pork belly & egg - 9/10.
The space is warm & cozy, great for couples or small groups, though it might be a bit tight for larger parties.
Located right in the heart of Montreal's Asian food hub, surrounded by Japanese, Korean, & Chinese eateries, Sansotei is a place I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed my time at Sansotei Ramen! The servers were very attentive & the food came very quickly. The ramen was so delicious & flavourful! The portion size was quite good as well.

La terrasse avait une ambiance très agréable, le personnel était gentil & accueillant, & le ramen était vraiment délicieux. Un endroit parfait pour se détendre & profiter d'un bon repas !
This is an outstanding ramen experience. The broth is dense & deeply flavorful, showcasing an impressive depth of umami. Its authentic taste is a clear indicator of traditional preparation, making each spoonful a remarkable culinary experience. Highly recommended for those who appreciate genuine, high-quality ramen.
Pretty good food. My friend & I sat outside on a nice day & we were able to quickly order/be served. I got the Shoyu ramen. Unfortunately the atmosphere was nice enough that some wasps came to enjoy it with us, & one dipped into my bowl when I was halfway through eating. So I chose not to finish my food, but that's not anyone's fault. The server was very nice & apologetic about it. Had a good time, I'd recommend it.

Trop bon les ramens, bon service des gens accueillant & bienveillant. J'ai adoré le décor & aussi c'est très beau & calme comme endroit, j'étais impressionné par la vitesse du service
Today, my friend & I were starving & decided to try a ramen restaurant on St-Catherine. When we walked in, there were only two servers at the front. The female server was busy handling a phone call, while the male server was completely ignoring my friend & I, choosing instead to keep chatting with that one customer. The experience wasn't honestly great. I truly appreciate the female server for doing her best despite being overwhelmed, but the male server seriously needs proper training. BTW chatting while ignoring other customers is totally unacceptable.
Really good Ramen & Gyoza! The broth was tasty, not too salty or rich, & all the ingredients were high quality. The ramen egg was really good! & the chicken breast & smoked pork that we had in the soup were not the cheap shredded type you often get. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Worst service ever, the waitress acted uninterested & didn't allow us to move the chair just a little bit while the restaurant was not busy at all & we were the only customers eating on their terrasse! Food is meh, compared to the sansotei ramen we went to in Ottawa which offers more options & better service. We may consider visiting the other locations of this chain, but we'll never come back here again.
