Sammi & Soupe Dumpling at Royalmount is widely appreciated for its beautiful, clean, and modern atmosphere, which many find to be a significant upgrade. The soup dumplings remain the highlight of the menu, frequently praised for their fresh ingredients, rich broth, and authentic flavors, with popular choices including the pork and chive, shrimp, and lamb coriander varieties. While most guests experience efficient and friendly service, some note that wait times can be longer during peak hours, making it advisable to plan ahead or use their digital waitlist system. Although experiences with service consistency and food presentation vary occasionally, the restaurant is generally regarded as a reliable, affordable, and welcoming destination for those seeking high quality dumplings in a bright and inviting setting.
Sammi Soup Dumpling at Royalmount, in the outside court, is a popular spot, worth reserving your place ahead of time. It's a lot nicer & cleaner than the older Sammi locations, a real upgrade in terms of atmosphere. The soup dumplings are still the draw, & the updated space makes the whole experience better. Worth the visit, just plan ahead.
Clean spot, not too busy when I was there. I had the spicy pork dumplings which were not very spicy & the pork & shrimp dumplings those were my fave. Super tasty & juicy. I also tried the beef pan fried crispy dumplings. They were OK
I ordered the 10 classic soup dumplings with pork, shrimp, & scallop. Unfortunately, I only really noticed one shrimp, & the rest of the filling lacked texture & flavour. The tofu was okay, but very simple & not especially creative.
Overall, the food was fine, but for around $40, I found it pretty ordinary. The soup dumplings were decent, but the portion & overall experience did not really feel worth the price.
The biggest issue was the packaging. The bag was completely soaked with oil/sauce, & it leaked everywhere in my car. That made the experience frustrating before I even got to eat.
I wanted to like it more, but for the price, the lack of flavour, & the mess, it was just average for me.

I have been to multiple locations & this one is in the top 3. I like all the soups & the chicken dumplimgs. The people & staff are nice. There is always place to sit & the place is always clean.
Personally, this location taste much better than the one in st-Catherine. It's much more cleaner, with a nicer environment & the orders came way faster. I just love their Xiao long bao(the porc & the chicken mushroom one tasted fantastic)! The pumpkin mousse itself isn't sweet at all, in fact, most of the flavour came from the syrup poured on it, but the flaky biscuit below the mousse was good. It was hard to get used to the yogurt at first, but after a few bites in, it just gets more & more good!
I am not a fun of dumplings but when my friend told me they have the very delicious, juicy & tasty Dumplings. I love it! very clean you can see how they make dumpling the ambience is so beautiful friendly staff & highly recommend
Service was very rough, almost like they didn't want to be there working. Hard to get service overall. Borderline rude. Food was good. Ambiance was very clean & nice with large windows.
Super clean place & aesthetically pleasing!
Very very kind employees. They were so understanding & thoughtful when we brought our babies there. They have booster chairs available for the seat.
Food is so delicious. They have tea & dessert as well.
My favourite dishes are the xiao long bao pork&chive, the pork&scallops&shrimps, & the peanut butter pork dumplings.
Affordable prices also for what you get!
This new location that opened with the Royalmount is bright, minimalistic & clean, & offers a small terrasse area for outdoor dining.
The soup dumplings are handmade, each with the dough rolled out thin & pleated beautifully. The chicken & mushroom soup dumpling was surprisingly juicy, tender, & wonderfully umami.
The pan-fried dumplings had a nice crispy skirt, but I believe the skirt is made of corn starch as it had a slight chewiness that sticks to the teeth. A flour-based slurry would provide a crispier crunch, but this is a question of personal taste. The beef curry dumpling was flavorful, but filling was on the dry side.
It is also worth noting that prices are slightly higher at this location than others.
The bathrooms were clean, however toilet paper was not provided. Instead, a stack of napkin papers were placed on top of the toilet paper holder which feels both unsanitary & highly uncomfortable to use.
I have had their dumplings at multiple locations, the one in Montreal near Concordia University is the original & is fantastic. The one in the West Island is new & is getting to the status of the others. & this one is just fantastic in terms of quick service, quality of food (always top notch) & cleanliness.
