I have been to multiple locations & this one is in the top 3. I like all the soups & the chicken dumplimgs. The people & staff are nice. There is always place to sit & the place is always clean.
Sammi Soup Dumpling at Royalmount is a gorgeous space, very aesthetic & perfect for a nice outing. Their special menu is a highlight for me. The food is good & very consistent, which keeps me coming back. Reliable & enjoyable every time.

The only confusing part was finding the entrance of the restaurant since we had to walk out of the mall to get inside LOL.
I couldn't eat meat, so I got the shrimp & coriander xiao long bao & the shrimp peanut butter wontons (both were surprisingly just as good as meat options - 8/10). We also tried the tasty hot & sour cucumbers, but the portion was huge so we couldn't finish it. Staff were also super nice & accommodating.
Sammi & Soupe Dumpling a été une superbe découverte pour moi dans le quartier de Royalmount ! Les dumplings sont incroyablement délicieux, en particulier les'Pork & Chive', qui étaient un excellent choix pour moi. Le service est rapide & le personnel est très souriant. Les autres plats du menu sont également très savoureux, je recommande particulièrement les champignons frits.
You want the best dumplings you ever had? Sami & soup… you guys stole me taste buds… my wife's too… we're dreaming of the next time we can come back from Ottawa to eat here.

My partner & I got a very bad stomach ache & felt the urge to vomit after eating there. The sammi & soup at the St-Catherine location are way better compared to Royalmount. We're never going there again.
I've always loved coming to sammi & Soup whenever I'm craving a hot, comforting bowl of dumplings. It used to always hit the spot, & it quickly became one of my favorite places.
However, during my last two visits, I felt the quality of the food had gone down a bit. I'm sharing this not to criticize, but in the hope that the owners see it ,because this spot truly means a lot to me, & I would hate to see the quality fade.
I really hope things can go back to the amazing standard I'm used to .
My mandatory food-stop when visiting the royalmount shopping mall. I've been on multiple occasions & had the same joy every single time. Sammi & Soupe has the greatest dumplings in Montreal regardless of location. The atmosphere at this particular location has a perfect balance of cozy & modern, & the service was fairly efficient especially considering how full it was.
We did wait about 10 minutes to be seated this time, but there is a great digital system to join a queue/wait-list. However this was only the first time I waited to be seated amount 10+ visits.
Food was good not great, but not worth a 45 minute wait on a Friday night. Dumplings in peanut butter sauce was good, soup is a hard pass, we got the classic pork xlb which was alright, & the best thing we had was the pork/chive pan fried dumpling. Bonus points though for having the authentic chili oil.
Reservation system was easy to follow, staff were all kind & nice, making sure we had water as soon as we sat down + giving extra napkins, tables were a little too close together, & the little trinkets are a nice touch (we got the fridge magnet).

Didn't like the food, nothing special & no real taste, even the peanut butter sauce not that much in the taste ( not saturated) & in the wanton dumplings didn't taste the shrimp!
The soup also needs more spices, no real taste & when we asked about salt, they don't have salt !
Tried Sammi & Soupe Dumplings at Royalmount & I was pleasantly surprised! The dumplings taste really good fresh, flavorful, & cooked just right. The staff is friendly & welcoming, & the overall vibe of the place is actually great. Perfect spot if you're craving dumplings in a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking it out!

sammi & soupe is my absolute favorite place for soup dumplings! the spicy juicy & pork & coriander are my favorites! the fried pork & curry is also soooo delish! I've been to three locations & the food is always consistent! The Royalmount location is beautiful!
This new location that opened with the Royalmount is bright, minimalistic & clean, & offers a small terrasse area for outdoor dining.
The soup dumplings are handmade, each with the dough rolled out thin & pleated beautifully. The chicken & mushroom soup dumpling was surprisingly juicy, tender, & wonderfully umami.
The pan-fried dumplings had a nice crispy skirt, but I believe the skirt is made of corn starch as it had a slight chewiness that sticks to the teeth. A flour-based slurry would provide a crispier crunch, but this is a question of personal taste. The beef curry dumpling was flavorful, but filling was on the dry side.
It is also worth noting that prices are slightly higher at this location than others.
The bathrooms were clean, however toilet paper was not provided. Instead, a stack of napkin papers were placed on top of the toilet paper holder which feels both unsanitary & highly uncomfortable to use.
Fast & friendly service. The wonton soup & dumplings were delicious. Lots of menu options & the drinks were very well priced. The place to go if you're a dumpling lover. Worth a visit
