De~li~cious~ Glad that you're still here
//2yrs ago: Spicy udon & fried chicken
Unluckily waited 30mins since the waiter misheard.
Très bon tteokbokki.
Si vous aimez les fruits de mer. Essayez les tteokbokki ou udon rosés.
Excellent rapport qualité prix.
Absolutely loved it! We waited about 45 minutes as it was Saturday night dinner time. Once seated we were quickly greated & served our drinks. We ordered; sweet chickie, bulgogi, spare ribs, homemade kimchi, curry udon, tteakbokki rosé & seafood pancake. All super delicious & perfectly portioned for 4 people. Service was quick, friendly & efficient. Will definitely come back to taste more from the menu! Only negative is you come out of restaurant very very very stinky 😝
Went during a friday at lunch, the place wasn't too packed but the atmosphere was great! The creme onion fried chicken was amazing. The batter is light & crispy, & the chicken was very juicy. The rose udon is quite sweet, but still very good. The bibimbap was good as well. The portions are very big & filling, definitely worth it for the price.
Pretty disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken bibimbap, the fried chicken & kimchi was very good but the rest of the dish was very bland, the egg yolk was fully cooked & my food was cold. My boyfriend's fried chicken was good but extremely salty & my sister in law's tofu was still frozen when she got it. The udon curry plate was delicious though! The staff is also very friendly & restaurant has a nice ambiance!
Such good food every time! The sweet drinks are also very good. Love the kimchi fries & spicy creamy udons. 😊
I don't normally write reviews but my kids love it so much we be going back forsure. The spicy beef udon & curry katsu is a big win for me. Omg the flavours. Kids love the spicy Taboki with extra cheese n ramen it's so addicting. Beef tartare n seafood pancake n fry chicken is a must get if u wanna drink n eat :) There is something for everyone & for the price your paying its fair. A hidden gem in MTL downtown
Small hidden place that specializes in Korean food. Definitely recommend the beef tartare along with the udon & kimchi fried rice. Fairly priced & tasted great. Reservations recommended.
I came to Samcha after a recommendation from a friend, I was told it was extremely spicy & delicious, so I came with expectations. It was great, the food was piping hot & fresh, & the flavors were amazing. (I had the kimchi fried rice, extremely creamy & savory with that signature gochujang flavor). Along with that, I also had the spicy teokbokki with cheese that was equally delicious. Now, as to the reason why I only rated it 4*, the teokbokki was perfectly spicy, but the kimchi fried rice barely had any spice. According to my friend, it tasted as though they've toned down the spice quite a lot since her last visit. She had the spicy udon, & there was the same statement in terms of spice level. I have a pretty low spice tolerance, & when I can barely taste it, something feels wrong. I'd recommend asking to make it spicier if you're planning to order something spicy. Other than that, it's a great place with an amazingly warm & bustling atmosphere! The sojus tastes great.
My favorite Korean restaurant in all of Montreal! I recommend the spicy udon, chicken katsu ramen, & udon curry. You won't be disappointed.
Good service & nice vibes. However, the cook was not on par with the google ratings. I ordered the chicken curry dish & the chicken was burnt (ruined the taste of the whole meal). The soup with udon was meh. Told them very spicy, got mild. I think the old cooks from a few years ago were better. Maybe need more experience.
I’ve been going to Sam Cha for a couple years now. My favourite dishes would be the seafood sondubu that comes with rice, the beef tartare & the dolsot bimbimbap. I’ve recently tried the mussel soup which, to me was mid, as well as their rosé cream udon that I found was too sweet for my liking. Besides that, the ambiance is cozy. There’s often a line up so plan ahead.
5 stars review for Sam Cha that wonderful Korean restaurant in Montreal. We ordered Takoyaki, Teokk bok Ki, Tofu Salad, Rose cream udon, Sea Food Ramyui, & Kimchi Fried Rice.
We had a wonderful experience at this Korean restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, & the prices were affordable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Korean meal in Montreal.
