From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air, & the sight of handmade pastas & desserts is irresistible. Their selection of breads is perfect. The pasta options are impressive too-perfect for a quick homemade dinner or to stock up for the week. The shop also offers a variety of food to go, from delicious lasagna to freshly made salads, making it an ideal stop if you're in need of a quick, satisfying meal. Don't leave without grabbing one of their house-made desserts-everything from cannoli to tiramisu is on offer, & they're all as delightful as you'd expect from a genuine Italian bakery. Parking is convenient, with a small lot right outside the store, so you won't have to worry about finding a space. Just a heads-up-they only accept cash, but there's an ATM inside for your convenience if you forget. The cash-only policy might be a bit old-school, but it adds to the authentic, neighborhood feel of the place. Overall, it's a hidden gem for lovers of Italian cuisine, offering a little bit of everything with quality that's hard to match.
Do note that Salerno's is Cash Only! They have an ATM on site that will charge you $1.50, or worse yet crash when you're trying to use it, so better to come prepared with your own money. With that out of the way, Salerno's is a cute Bakery/Pastry shop mixed with a little corner store. It states that it's open 7 days a week, 24h a day, but I ended up going on a weekend around 3pm. I heard their donuts were good, so that's what I wanted to try, but there were so many pastries & cakes on display that I was swayed into trying a few different things. The staff member that served me didn't know the names of the mini pastries on display, but was able to help me in picking out what I wanted by looking around the counter & jostling the tray. I cannot recommend the mini pastries though, because most of them were stale or hard, & the majority of the ones I tried tasted the same. The worst of the bunch is the mini square with green, yellow, & pink cake. That was hard like a rock. I also tried two donuts they had on top, despite some fruit flies landing on a few & sampling the sweet themselves. The dough was very tender, but the dip on top of the donut tasted the same, whether it was the maple or the chocolate dip. However, it was a nice treat & not overly sweet. Altogether, my visit to Salerno's only set me back $20, which is decent for everything I got! Despite a few things here & there, like stale pastries or flies around the food, I will definitely go back because they have so many options & are decently priced.

Boulangerie, pâtisserie formidable ouvert 24 hr un grand choix de tartes, petite pâtisserie individuelle & de magnifiques gâteaux décorés avec soin. Un service hors pair. Ça vaut le détour.
Les taralli sont délicieux. Un grand choix de gâteau & pâtisserie. La pizza est aussi délicieuse. C'est ouvert 24heures sur 24. Facile de stationner sur le côté de l'édifice.
Honestly, I was not expecting much. But I was definitely blown away! It has everything a normal Italian bakery has, pastries, cakes, imported Italian goods etc. but the best thing that I got was the pastries! I love that they're open late because sometimes a late night craving does hit. Also, & any kind of last-minute situation where anything like this is required, it's nice to know that this is an option. I will be coming back, the pastries I had were actually great. I would highly recommend to anyone!
Delicious pastries & cookies. We went after 9pm & it was still quite busy but the staff were all very friendly & helpful. Will be going back again!
Salerno's pizza has been a staple in our family gatherings since I was a child, no other pizza compares!. I now live far on the south shore, but you can bet I will stop by for pizza & pastries any time I am close-by, including late at night after an evening out, as I know they are open 24/7!.

La pizza au tomates & basilic est à tomber par terre . Bonne froide parfaite pour les chaleurs d'été ou comme petites bouchées d'entré avant le BBQ . Même avec du vin blanc au bord de la piscine .
Qu'elle découverte ! Boulangerie ouverte 24/24 7/7 rien que pour ça c'est 5 étoiles tant c'est rare à Montréal. Il y a de quoi se régaler en sucré & en salé. Les sandwichs sont excellents, & bien garni. Il y a de la pizza aussi un délice. & les desserts ! N'en parlons pas. Je vous recommande d'y aller vous ne serez pas déçu.

I have been coming here since i was a kid & i can say they are consistent with their products & quality i definitely recommend this store you can pop in any time they are open 24hrs..
Anna is the sweetest person... she hires the best of the best. Always great service & the cakes ..OH MY GOSH.. I can't go anywhere else, because once you find that place that has it all... why go anywhere else I've had my wedding cake done, baby shower, our oldest 18yo bday & we'll have many more events to come.
