Sahib is frequently praised as a top destination for authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, with many diners highlighting the consistently delicious food, generous portions, and high-quality preparation of dishes like chicken korma, lamb curry, and fresh naan. The restaurant is widely recognized for its welcoming and attentive service, creating a warm atmosphere that makes guests feel comfortable and valued during both buffet meals and à la carte dining. With a clean, aesthetic, and pleasant environment, it serves as a reliable and popular choice for families and regular patrons alike, offering a satisfying culinary experience that consistently encourages repeat visits.
Sahib has some really good food, & the gulab jamun was absolutely delicious-definitely the highlight of the meal! However, the atmosphere felt very cafeteria-forward, which didn't quite match the quality of the food. The music was slow & kind of dreary-a more upbeat vibe could really improve the dining experience. Still, the flavours are worth it, & I'd come back for the food alone. Just wish the ambiance matched the quality on the plate!
These guys are still going strong in 2024! They have the best lamb korma you can get on the island. Bonus points for gluten-free choices! My coeliac wife had no reaction whatsoever, so this is our go-to place. The staff is super nice & careful. A 5 star place for sure There's no dedicated fryer, so some options are out for coeliacs, although if you're just gluten intolerant, you might give a try to papadum
We went there for a quick late lunch. Ordered lamb biriyani, chicken vindaloo, naan & gulab jamun. The biriyani was very good in both taste & presentation wise. I would have liked the chicken vindaloo to be more spicy as traditionally this is a spicy dish. It tasted more tangy rather than spicy. The nan was ok but small compared to naans at any other restaurant. The papadums were cold & didn't meet the expectations at all. The highlight was the gulab jamuns. They were hot, soft & fluffy. They were the best gulab jamuns I had recently. The service was excellent. Definitely recommended if you are craving for some delicious desi food.
Ordered online for pick up. The ordering process was super easy, the order was ready on time. However, the food was disappointing. I had heard many great things about this restaurant over the years so we decided to give it a try since we love Indian food. The butter chicken sauce tasted more like tomato soup than rich & creamy. & for $21.95, I was expecting more than 10-12 overcooked bite size pieces of chicken. The lamb Chettinad was tasty, even though the lamb was a bit tough. The tandoori plate for 1 was just ok. The 4 items (chicken, fish, 1 shrimp, ground meat sausage) were dry & overcooked. All the main meals do come with either naan or basmati rice, so that's a plus. Skip the stuffed Kulcha for $7.95, it was a small naan brushed with garlic butter. Far from the description of chilli paneer naan. Overall, not a complete horrible experience but won't be ordering again.
I have been going to Sahib in point Clair for many years & really enjoy the food. Being local & Dorval I had been waiting for a long time for this went to open. The first time I went I was planning on eating there & upon walking in one of my family members Could not handle how loud the place was. We ended up doing takeout & enjoyed the food. We recently went back & turned down the music a little bit & it is a more relaxed atmosphere now & so we Aiden & we were totally satisfied with every aspect of our visit. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was good. The staff was pleasant & professional. We will be returning. It is not in the options below, & we also had the lamb vindaloo, which is delicious. It is very spicy for restaurant level spicing, so be aware if you do not like extreme spice.
Bon service Bon plats Ambiance calme, on recommande
