To all of you lined up for Schwartz' (blocking the entrance to Coco Rico): ever wonder where the delicious smells are coming from? It isn't from the smoked meat. Coco Rico has the best, juiciest & most flavourful pork, chicken & chourico sandwiches in the city. Potatoes roasted with the juices from the meats. Delicious breads, even the day-old ones are worth the drive. & don't leave without a six pack of natas. Been eating here for 40 years - hope to keep doing so for another 40!
Massive serving size for the chicken poutine. Very good & served hot. Chicken was a bit dry but very good overall. Service was very nice

Bad chicken sandwich. Greasy & low taste. Potato's are super greasy. The service is appallingly bad. Do not recommend.
J'avais commandé un quart cuisse & j'ai finalement eu un sandwich. Cependant, j'hésitais entre les 2 & le sandwich était vraiment bon! J'ai trouvé qu'il y aurait pu y avoir un légume ou verdure (salade ou tomate, quelque chose du genre) mais sérieux le goût est vraiment bon! J'ai trouvé les patates rondes plus belles que bonne mais c'est uniquement parce qu'il y a une épice dessus que je n'apprécie pas, quelqu'un qui aime cette épice va les trouver très bonnes!

fantastic pastei de nata. ask for the warm ones for that extra crisp flaky pastry & sprinkle cinnamon if you're into that!
We had two 1/2 chicken plates with salad & roasted potatoes. The chicken was perfectly cooked but was lacking flavour, it was bland. I asked for spicy sauce after a few bites but that didn't help at all. A bit pricy but I'm okay with that for the chicken plates but 6$ plus tax for 2 naya water bottles when you're dinning inside is not okay. Good service & good music. They also have a little terrasse on the side.
En plus d'être la première rôtisserie portugaise de Montréal c'est la meilleure ! Poulet fondant & juteux. Frites & pommes de terre maison, Natas ... divine ! Personnel très gentil! On m'a même raconté l'histoire & l'origine du lieu ! Bref je recommande à 100% ! Ah oui en plus c'est pas cher ;)
Meilleur poulet à Montréal, point à la ligne. Les patates cuitent avec le jus du poulet BBQ est simplement décadent. Il fait y aller absolument. Sans gluten en plus
My last dinner on this trip to Montreal & I wanted Portuguese, something almost nonexistent back home (Calgary). I chose this place because it was reasonably close to where I was staying & had good reviews. I got the trio with the roasted pork sandwich, the roasted potatoes & I chose the carrot salad from among six options. The good: the carrot salad was fantastic! The somewhat good: some of the potatoes were melting perfection, but some were dry- since it's these potatoes that are endlessly extolled on here I expected better. They were good, but not great. Same with the sandwich. The meat was tender & tasty but rather meagre. The bread looked gorgeous but was a bit dry.

Very good fast food place. Most of the things they serve are delicious. I love their potatoes. Verdict : give it a try.
We bought pastel de Nata. It was still warm & OMG delicious. This dessert is coming from heaven.
