Romados est largement salué pour son poulet portugais juteux et savoureux, avec des frites croustillantes et des portions généreuses à des prix abordables, et pour des plats comme les sandwichs au poulet, la bifana ou la poutine au poulet qui renforcent les saveurs grâce à la sauce piri piri. Les pâtisseries telles que les natas et les pastéis de nata sont fréquemment mises en avant comme excellentes. Le service est décrit comme rapide et sympathique, bien que certaines critiques signalent des variations de qualité ou des hausses de prix liées à des changements de direction et d'emplacement. Dans l'ensemble, Romados apparaît comme une institution montréalaise bien-aimée, accessible et généreuse, malgré quelques imperfections.
First time visiting this restaurant. Good traditional Portuguese food. Limited eat-in seating, but it was not that busy, so seating was not an issue. I was, however, very disappointed by the server who prepared my dish. I ordered a chicken dish & I asked for more potatoes than rice. Her response was to give me the same amount of potatoes & half the rice as the person whom I was with. Yes, that "technically" satisfies the request, but definitely not what a reasonable person would do. I felt that it was insulting & a slap in the face. I'm not sure that I will actively return to this restaurant nor recommend it to others - albeit time will tell.
Great local spot, staff is friendly as can be (my French is rusty, apologies, New Brunswick changed its programming for French four times in my academic career; my Portuguese is non-existent, & speaking Spanish would just bewilder them, I assume) in English, French, or Portuguese. Solid Piri Piri Chicken poutine, insanely good Bifana. & the prices are good, too. Also, if you want some fresh crusty rolls, they're cheap as can be. ($1.99 for 6 fresh rolls? Sign me up!)
I recently visited this restaurant & tried their Portuguese roast chicken, which was amazing! The roast chicken had a crispy skin, tender & juicy meat, & every bite was full of rich spices & unique roasted flavor. The marinating & roasting of the chicken were just right. The restaurant environment is also very comfortable, & the waiter was friendly & enthusiastic, recommending several Portuguese sauces & side dishes that were perfect with the roast chicken. After the meal, we also enjoyed their special dessert, which was a perfect end to the whole dining experience. Overall, this dining experience was very satisfying & highly recommended to friends who like Portuguese food. Will definitely come back!

The chicken is delicious. We also enjoyed the rice & sides. We came here twice while on vacation in Montreal as it was close to our lodging. All the Portuguese chicken we've tried since has not been comparable to this place.
The chicken & the spicy sauce feel almost great, but just not quite right. Its still a good place to eat, but not the best of portuguese chicken in montreal. Solid 4/5. Awesome de natas tho, they get a 5/5
After the original owners sold the restaurant it just isn't the same. The food has drastically dipped in quality in every aspect. No longer Portuguese food.
