Actually nonna run restaurant where nonna makes delicious arancini you would eat if you were invited to an Italian family dinner. Actually loving vibe & the server & the manager everyone wanted to make sure you were having a great time & food was authentic & great. Ate like a king & price is very very good too based on the service & food you get. Really a local treasure
We celebrated my birthday here with family & had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Catia, Liz, Massimo, & the entire San Marzano team made us feel genuinely welcomed, truly like being at home. 🥰🥹
The food was outstanding, the arancini were a family favourite 🤣, & everything was full of flavor & tasted just like a comforting, home-cooked Italian meal. The service was exceptional: Massimo was attentive, kind, & always there when we needed anything, & the entire staff was warm & welcoming. ❤?
Catia did an incredible job with the menu…it was exactly what we envisioned & she made everything happen so perfectly. Liz was so warm & funny; my family absolutely adored her. ❤?
Even the espresso martini deserves a mention: easily the best I've ever had! 🍸Thank you to the entire team for making this such a memorable experience. We can't wait to return & will definitely be hosting future celebrations here. Highly recommend! 🙏🏼

BEST italian restaurant in Greater Montreal Area, delicious food made with love, care, & skill, paired with impeccable service. Appetizers were better tasting than menu items from Michelin-rated restaurant I've been to. Calamari 10/10, lamb chops really good too, Arrancini 10/10.

Excellent restaurants food is amazing, staff is very friendly & welcoming; it makes you feel like your at nonna house eating a meal with family. Arancine are amazing & fried calamari are fresh delicious. The porchetta steak, parmigiana, salmon & spaghetti a la pescatore are all excellent & tasty dishes to order. We will definitely be returning & I recommend you try this restaurant it really makes you feel like your in an Italian grandma & grandpa home where the food is homemade & casalingua & the ambiancenis warm & cozy. Excellent job & please go visit & have an amazing experience.
This was not our first time at San Marzano, but it's our first review. The food is excellent, with great portions. Service is great, the staff are fantastic, friendly, & very attentive. Management does a great job making guests feel right at home… you can really tell this is a family owned Italian restaurant & that they take pride in what they do.
First time I been to San Marzano Ristorante & I can tell you, its a beautiful cozy & romantic place to go, food is at the top, trust me I know, as I'm also a Cook by profession, Valentine's Day there with beautiful music & Top Service, I recommend this place to anyone who wants to dig into Italian dishes

Really impressed! We were a group of 12 people & everyone really enjoyed their meals. Being vegetarian, I was happy with the many choices available to me. The service was great, the food was great. If you're looking for a quaint Italian restaurant, this is your place. Can't wait to return.
This restaurant is a gem! It's a family-run, authentic Italian place with a great atmosphere/vibe. The owners & their staff were amazingly attentive & super-friendly. We haven't enjoyed a dining experience like this in a long while. Will definitely be going back!
Would give 3.5 but no half point. We were initially happy to have found an authentic italian resto to eat with group of friends & kids. The appetizers came out quickly & were very tasty! (Arancini, polpette, rapini sausages, stuffed pasta). However, we we waited close to 1 hour for the main dishes without much transparent update from service staff. Kids were getting impatient. The dishes finally came & were good. The signature fungi egg pasta dish could have been enhanced by adding different mushrooms than the regular white one. Maybe our orders were mixed up with another or delays in the kitchen but keeping the customer postef would be appreciated.

I'm giving this a three star, mostly for the atmosphere & friendly service. I love good Italian food & we were excited to find this almost around the corner in our neighborhood. We often have to drive out of our way to Colbert on Jean-Talon to get a good home made Italian meal so when we discovered this place we were excited. We checked the online menu before heading over to decide what to order & when we got there, my choice of Lasagna a la Nona was not on the menu & my wife's choice of Lamb was also not on the menu. We ended up having to order something else, she had the veal with cognac, in her words, it was "alright" & I had the Spaghetti Bolognese which was, sorry, bland & no real flavor to it. Honestly I wanted to like it but... I don't think we will go back, again, only two dishes but based on the experience of missing items on the menu & not enough alternative to choose from & not enough meat on the menu, very limited dessert choices... It's really too bad because we really liked the decor & again, the service was very friendly.
This was a totally hidden gem. Off the beaten path, stylish decor, wonderful staff, & the food was tremendous. The menu, while varied, is not overly large, & the dishes are more...upscale Italian. Wine selection is decent & well suited to the menu. Pricing reflects the quality of the menu & well worth it. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something upscale but away from the usual crowds downtown. We will definitely return!
