My updated review 2025 JL11: Rio Pizza is back to being great again. The new management made it my fav local pizza joint once more as the pizza was tasty as before & they brought back the fresh cut fries! I wish the new owner continue success & to all the people out there, help your local business, like Pizza Rio.

My review is as same as other unhappy customers for Pizza Rio. I've been ordering from this pizzeria for a long time & the pizza & the sub was already superb even though the new ownership took over about 2 years ago. …now lately the food quality has really went down hill. Pizza not good as before (cheese topping all burnt & my extra paid cheese topping was but a mere sprinkle) & the sub was made with wilted lettuce & very small tomato slices. They even got rid of fresh cut fries & using the frozen store bought ones now. On my recent pickup of my order, they also made mistake with my Pizza order which I had to wait additional 35 mins, & also forgot to add sauce for my subs when I got home with them. I hope they can resolve their kitchen issue as the poor lady at the cash was getting bombarded by customer who received the wrong orders..View more

Best pizza in town! At first we doubted them but it ended up being the best pizza & poutine we had in town. ( 4 years ago) Even though it's not the usual thin crust pizza that I adore, the pizzas served here are still one of my favourites. The pizzas are served with a generous amount of toppings & they are rather fresh too. I especially like how there is a lot of cheese & sauce which makes each bite juicy & flavourful. (2 years ago) I'm sorry but my latest experience was disappointing. I have been ordering Rio Pizza for so long & I am sad to see the quality drop by so much. My pizza was undercooked, we could still taste the dough & it was overwhelming all the other flavours of the pizza. The Rio Boss poutine that I used to enjoy so much had a distracting burnt taste from the fries, the sauce was so bland compared to what we used to order & the meat was just not as well prepared as it used to be. Even the amount of toppings decreased by so much.View more

I've been ordering from this pizzeria for a long time ... however lately the food quality & customer service has taken a bad turn ... first incident , my pizza was made incorrectly I called back , they literally told me are you sure your pizza is incorrect , while I'm looking at it ! Like yes it's wrong , pls change it .. also paying 6.99$ for extra cheese & getting just a sprinkle is kind of annoying .. toppings never the same amount ever Last night ordered , the pizza was lacking in toppings for sure as well as the gyros plate was just sad .. wilted lettuce , potatoes were black , not sure why but the food was just very badView more
