We got such a big order on uber eats. We got the garlic naan (extremely doughy & cold) Dahl was the best thing, butter chicken was cold & super sweet, chicken korma was also very cold & super sweet. The paneer pakora was also very cold & bland. The chicken biriani was good (the only thing with any spice) Everything was very cold & sweet. When you get indian food, especially after spending over 100$, you'd at least expect some hot food. But it was the worst indian food I've even had. I grew up eating indian food, I know good indian food. Extremely disappointed. You would at the very least expect at least mild spice. If you're going to serve sweet dishes, say that they're sweet. We had to microwave it & put a ton of hot sauce & soya sauce in it to'try' to take the sweetness away.
We ordered a lot of food from this restaurant on DoorDash. The butter chicken, naan, & samosas. It was all positively amazing. The butter chicken wasn't heavy like at other places. The samosas are the best me & my wife have ever had. The naan are fresh & very flavorful. If you're thinking about ordering Indian food tonight. Order from here. You will not be disappointed. It was truly such an amazing meal.
Being south asian, i'm used to eating these type of dishes. Sadly this restaurant, despite the good reviews, did not satisfy my tastebuds. The chickpeas in the channa samosas were cold & uncooked, the dahi puri was filled with too much sauce. The curries were ok... The naans were good & fresh.
This was an amazing 🤩 find near to pie-IX station. The lady who was serving was so kind & cordial she ensured we got what we ordered, all kudos to her! , would want her to serve us again. The kadhai paneer & naan were so yum 😋 🤤 . So was the tandoori paneer tikka with the level of spice that we wanted. I'd recommend this place for everyone who wants to have their taste buds tested for an indian cuisine. Love ❤? this place
We went to celebrate a friend's birthday & everything was absolutely delicious. We had Butter Chicken, Chicken Chettinad, & Curry, & wow-absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor, & the garlic naan was among the best we've ever had.
But beyond the food, what I truly want to highlight is the staff. Our waiter was incredibly kind, attentive, & accommodating. During the evening, our friend gave my boyfriend over $100 to buy something, & while we were busy caring for our baby, we accidentally left the money under a plate. When we realized & called back-almost certain the money was lost-we were amazed to hear they had found it & kept it safe for us.
That level of honesty is rare these days & speaks volumes about the integrity of the people working there. We left not only delighted with the food, but also deeply grateful for the entire experience.
We'll definitely be coming back again & again
Great tasty food, very reasonably priced. My husband, daughter, & I all had Thalis. They had a late lunch special that went until 4 pm. It was our first time eating here. Many of the dishes are gluten-free (although there is, like many places, a risk of cross-contamination). They were able to substitute the naan with papadums for me.
I love Indian food & this was my first time here. It's near my sisters house so she has been here before. It was delicious. We both had the chicken Vindaloo, both asked for extra-spicy. Started with onion bhajee & samosas, both were really good. The vindaloo was to die for! We shared a side of rice & a naan & it was more than enough. I even ended up bringing alot home for lunch the next day..lol Nice atmosphere. Only slight complaint is there was one 2 servers for the whole place & it was getting busy where we were there. Didn't slow down our meal that much, but I felt sorry for them running around so much. Definitely will go back!
Je ne suis pas d'accord avec les commentaires négatifs, pour moi rien dire, toutes les épices étaient là, la cuisine est fraîche, le naan était très bon, le curry aussi.
Had their Shrimp curry with coco (coconut cream) with Baingan Bharta & Naan for lunch. Delish!!!
Can't believe I hadn't been earlier! I live only a few blocks away & simply never took the time to go. We were served by the owner, who was extremely kind, & the food was delicious & hot. We ordered daal makhani, vindaloo & naan & rice. Would highly recommend those dishes!
Ordered their veg thali - it came with palak paneer & chana masala, rice & naan! U also get a dessert along with some salad. The curries were delicious but the salad wasnt that good! It was hard to eat since the lettuce was not properly chopped up! Also, I found it weird that the server didnt know which curry options they had for their thali. So we literally were playing the russian roulette but with no gun xD We got our order quite fast so kudos to the speed of service! I would recommend this place for good Indian food but instead of ordering on the phone, try going in & placing ur order over there since u might get more options.
Absolutely love the food here. My number 1 place for homemade kind of Indian food craving! Quality & service 💯 Portions are perfect ! Love their Saag chicken (delicious, light, healthy with large chunks of tender chicken breast). I like that they can customize the spicy level from none to spicy! Their garlic naans are soft yet crunchy & with tons of fresh garlic & herbs. The other dish that's really good is the chicken with yellow daal curry - same perks as the saag chicken curry! Salad 🥗 is fresh & served with a yogurt dressing 👍👌 Dahi poori 🤤👌 Can't wait to try the other dishes.
Food & service was incredible! If you love Indian cuisine then this place should be on your to do list when visiting Montreal! Had the deepfried paneer as an appetizer & it was delicious. They give you tamarind & mint sauce for dipping.Ordered the side naan to go with our meal & they give you two huge slices of garlic naan! Had the chicken tikka on the BBQ menu. Served piping hot & super tender with lovely spices & a side of mint sauce on the side. My boyfriend had the Madras lamb curry & is normally picky with lamb but absolutely loved the Madras lamb curry. Server was attentive & billigual! Also service was extremely fast!
Loved the food : butter chicken, veg dish, fish pakoras, the naan were amazing... husband liked the super spicy lamb briani ...the waiter & boss were so nice ...definitely recommend this restaurant
The palak paneer was possibly the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of spice, very flavorful. Same for the garlic naan-lots of garlicky goodness. The wait staff was wonderful, & dining outside on a lovely summer evening made me never want to leave.
best food in montreal i am visiting from toronto i tried 4-5 resturants here in montreal but this food was best crispy naan & & very flavourful paneer tikka masala if you are visiting montreal must try this resturant
Wow le naan 🤩 Service décomplexé, on a été bien guidé On revient!
Lunch thali is very good value. Butter chicken is sweet so order something else if you prefer less sweet. Delicious naan. Warm, friendly, attentive service. We felt at home here.
Probably the weirdest Indian food I've gotten in Montréal. I appreciated that there was not a layer of oil/grease on the top like so many other places, but everything apart from the naan tasted off. The tikka masala was extremely spicy, the korma was so sweet it turned my stomach, & the plain rice was somehow also spicy? It was good, but it was not plain. Meat portions were extremely small, especially for the chicken- not worth it. Won't be back, felt like a waste of money even with a discount. There is much better Indian food available for half the price elsewhere.
