As of January 2026, this place was nice inside, self seating. Waitress no.1 was spacey & like she was annoyed working there. My coffee came halfway through my breakfast.
The 2 eggs one meat plate at $13, & Special 2 egg 2 meat cretin beans breakfast were so small. Dry diced potatoes about less than 1/4 cup, 2 small eggs with golden yolks (good at least), 1/5 of an orange & sliver of honey due (fruit was dry but good). For $42, we left unsatisfied. We could have purchased 2x Boustan platters to go. It was literally a sampling for the $18 plate my brother got & a sampling for my $13 basic breakfast. The creton was about 2cm in a tiny tiny 1.25' little cup. You could barely spread on one toast. If you compare it to the Rail in Kanawake, its night & day. From all breakfast restaurants I went to, this was the worst in quantity, presentation, staff behaviour like wrong order, ling waits on coffee, clearing begore you finish, freshness, & value. No syrups, no jam variety, no BUTTER was available. They use margarine only. I had to ask for cream. But no butter??
If you think this is a 5 star breakfast you have not had 5 star breakfast. The Rail is the best value right now in Monteregie so far. My kitchen is number 1 really.
The waitress no. 2 with red streak & glasses whipped my plate from me & I wasn't finished. I took my bread, fruit in my hands & she still took away plates. Only one napkin per person so it was hard to hold in bare hand. My brother too was not finished eating. We left a tip but truthfully in today's standards it was a hard no tip.
You observe customers for finished plates not remove them before they finished eating.
Maybe they have good lunches but breakfast is overpriced for how little you get. Eggs toast & potatoes are so cheap but when you skimp out, you are just being cheap. I worked in restaurants it's just something I would never do. When u see white spaces on tiny plates, it's bad. Breakfast plates should be large & oval & filled. Not salad sized plates.
My sausages were salty & dry. When I got home I got a migraine & elevated blood pressure. The rail gives 3 big sausages, fresh not dry & never got me sick with sodium overload.
Save your curiosity & money. If you want value for your money, try another place. If you want atmosphere & don't care about value then you can still go there no doubt.
