Across reviews, Restaurant PM is described as a dependable option with generous portions, fast and friendly service, and affordable prices, offering Cantonese and other East Asian dishes that satisfy many diners and feel consistent. The dining experience is often praised for being unpretentious and efficient, with large portions and quick service making it a regular choice for a fast, affordable meal in downtown Montreal. While the majority of comments are positive, a few notes mention inconsistent opening hours that can complicate visits and occasional issues with ordering or takeout when changes arise. Overall, the consensus is that Restaurant PM delivers approachable, tasty Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price, making it a popular stop for locals and visitors seeking a satisfying and speedy meal.
This restaurant is still the best place for me & my family. We've been here everytime we get hungry & require a good meal; our favourite includes the spicy tofu; the chicken hotpot; snowpeas with garlic ; & the spareribs beef. I strongly recommend this place.
Old school Cantonese restaurant with efficient service & generous portions. There must be some magic in the kitchen because food is ready before you have the time to finish your first cup of tea.
Menu has all the north American favorites as well as plenty of dishes for more Asian palate.
Hostess & waitstaff are super friendly & multilingual.
The food here is always great & fresh. Also, they have very authentic Chinese food as well as more western dishes. Les repas sont toujours excellent & on peut trouver des repas authentique chinois & aussi des plat plus à la saveur nord-américaine.
I've been coming here for years & was deeply disappointed today. Your online hours state you close at 10pm. & today is a Saturday we walked in at 9:09. We drove all the way from Laval to specifically dine here; not to mention dealt with the headache of parking in the area. When we walked in they said we can only do take out because they are closing early due to cleaning the kitchen. But they were still able to make the food. We asked if we could eat quickly & were declined. I don't think it's fair that customers be treated that way. Opening hours are advertised for that reason; to not inconvenience your customers like we were this evening.
We've always enjoyed dining here but won't bother to make the trip if the hours are inconsistent.
Service was quick & kind. Had the chicken corn soup & spicy chicken with wine which came with a small bowl of steamed rice. It was all really good & the portions are very generous, the chicken wasn't really spicy but they have a bunch of stuff you can add to your dish on the table (like Sriracha, pepper, etc). Thank you for the meal :)

This is your typical asian restaurant. Great service ! Very fast & efficient. Meals portions are huge for a low cost. Many things to chose from, Eastern Asia food. Place looks clean & alright, nothing fancy at all. But you not there for fancy food that will cost an arm & a leg & still hungry after. No no no, they will stuff you face with big plates & they all like 12$ to 20$. Most about 18$ for good big meal. Of all the fast food'Chinese places' I been. It's one of the top 3 & it's downtown! Go try if you around. Your belly will thank you !
